Hey guys! This is the final installment to 'His Everything'. Thank you so much for all your support- it's truly what keeps me writing this. To clear any misunderstandings you may have, there will be no 'explicit' scenes in this FF (but still some cute, physical moments) and when I say 'Passionate Abhigya FF', I mean passionate in an emotional sense. Sorry to disappoint anyone who may have thought otherwise but I hope you guys enjoy it none the less!
Part 3: Undefined
Abhi found himself drifting in and out of reality and the dreamworld. A slow, sweet humming seemed to weaving the the two worlds together. When he finally decided to open his eyes to see where such a beautiful tone was coming from, he realised it was Pragya, humming to herself as she went about her business around the hut. It was already night time and in the darkness, Abhi could see nothing save for the shimmering figure of Pragya as she walked around, the moonlight from the windows bathing over her when she passed the right spots. He watched her, as if in a daze. They say a singer or a musician should practice their talents at night, in silence, when the sound made from instruments is strong and pure. Abhi had noticed this before (but never wanted to admit it till now) that Pragya's instrument, her voice, was absolutely beautiful. Tagore once said, "beauty is reality seen with the eyes of love", and although Abhi was now fully aware that he loved Pragya, he knew, even if he were to be a stranger to her, he would know her voice was truly something special. Having been around many singers, including himself, hearing the purity in that many lacked but was profound in Pragya, was refreshing for Abhi the rockstar.
He couldn't take it anymore, He had to go close to her, to hold her in his arms. He sat up carefully so as not to draw any attention to himself and slowly made his way to Pragya. Pragya had stopped her work and humming to look out the window for a moment when she suddenly felt two large hands envelope her waist. Shocked, she caught her breath as Abhi pulled her in to his chest and rested his chin on the nape of her neck. Realising it was none other than Abhi who had dared to come so close to her, she relaxed in his hold, molding in with his body. He crossed his arms over her chest, holding onto either shoulder, holding onto her with full possession.
"Aap! You're never going to stop doing that to me, are you? Just wait till I prank you one day and then you'll see how it feels to get a heart attack every five minutes!" Pragya sighed, a small smile playing about her mouth.
"You've surprised a fair number of times since the day I met you so don't make it sound like you've been an angel to me all this time," Abhi gave a little peck on Pragya's neck.
"What are you talking about? I'm such a good person!" Pragya laughed as she put her warm arms on top of Abhi's.
"As if! Do you remember how you used to torture with the help of Dadi?! Dadi ki chamche..." Abhi gave Pragya's neck a playful nudge, which Pragya responded with a little laugh at the feeling of his unshaven skin tickling her.
"Well sometimes you need some help to keep Dadi ki potha in line! Like right about now-" Pragya through her laughs as Abhi played her for longer, trying to free herself from Abhi but he wasn't letting her go anytime soon.
"I'm holding on to you for the rest of my life and that's final," Abhi declared before yawning. Pragya smiled to herself and let Abhi place most of his weight on her. He slowly moved his hands from her shoulders and carefully slid them down to her stomach, feeling every curve of slight yet glorious figure along the way. He pulled her in closer to him and Pragya turned her head to give Abhi and small kiss on the nose then turned back to look out the window, enjoying Abhi's warm embrace in the cold night. Abhi yawned and then proceeded to rest his head on her shoulders, closing his eyes. Abhi too was smiling to himself. He still hadn't fully understood why but by just being with Pragya, he had found the happiness he seemed to be searching all his life. True, music was a huge part of himself and only God knew how much he loved Dadi and Aliya. But Pragya was someone totally different. Someone he just couldn't live without. If he had to lose everything in the world, he could not even imagine giving up Pragya. And although he knew all this, he still couldn't put a name to what she truly was to him. 'His wife' was just a label society had given her but such a label seemed inadequate for her now.
"How are you feeling now?" Pragya asked softly in the endearing tone Abhi had grown to love very much. One of the aspects he loved about Pragya was that she truly meant everything she said. If she asked you question, she truly wanted to hear the answer. If she asked how you were, you couldn't help but reply truthfully rather than the usual 'okay'.
"Much better. Especially with you caring for me. Now I know why Dadi has been getting healthier so fast."
"I really didn't do-"
"Shut up and just accept that Dadi and I can't live with out you," Abhi said. Point number two, her modesty is unparalleled to anyone he's ever met. How can she be so amazing? "By the way, why did you stop singing?"
"What- you heard-" Pragya said, flustered.
"Keep singing... I haven't heard music for so long... I'll join in with you..." urged Abhi.
Hesitant at first, but with some more encouragement from Abhi, Pragya continued singing again. Her voice slightly shaky at the beginning, Abhi turned her around so she faced him and kissed both of her cheeks before proceeding to hold her as if they were going to waltz together.
"Aap...?" Pragya started, confused.
"Keep singing and just follow me," Abhi smiled.
And so the two danced with no sound save for Pragya's singing and the sound of their light steps as they waltzed around the hut, with no care of the world, dancing in and out of the moonlight that came through the window. Abhi too joined in with the singing feeling suddenly liberated in being able to do what he did best and they harmonized perfectly. He hadn't sung so freely in what seemed like years. The boundaries of the hut's walls began to blur as they danced on and on, smiling and laughing whenever they did sing off tune or forgot lyrics forcing them to make up new ones, lost in each other's presence.
In all their reverie, they had forgotten the mundane feelings that had accompanied them throughout their journey- fear and hunger. Pragya had not eaten for the whole day and it was too late when she suddenly lost control over her body and fell out of consciousness in Abhi's arms. The last thing she remembered was Abhi screaming her name, over and over again, before plunging into the void that had taken over her.
