Ahmedabad, May 11: While everyone has been talking about cases against Salman Khan, Jayalalithaa, many might have missed to notice a legal case against Aamir Khan. The Bollywood actor, who is also known as Mr Perfectionist, got a relief as the Gujarat High Court on Friday, May 8 quashed a case against him and many others.

The Gujarat High Court dismissed the case against Aamir, his ex-wife Reena Dutta and three others. The five persons including Aamir were accused of killing a Chinkara during the shooting of their movie 'Lagaan'.

Could it be because Aamir Khan is not Salman Khan and probably so he is let go easily by media and people.

The Gujarat High Court today quashed all criminal proceedings against Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and four others in connection with a case of alleged filming of chinkara, a protected animal, for their film "Lagaan" in Bhuj.

The state forest department had filed a complaint with the magistrate in Bhuj accusing the actor and others of alleged breach of wildlife protection act.

The forest department, in its complaint, had alleged that under the Wildlife (Protection) Act commercial filming of chinkara without prior permission was illegal.

In response, Aamir Khan had filed a petition seeking quashing of the proceedings in 2008. The matter was taken up for final hearing only last year.

The actor claims that they had used computer generated images of the animal and a real chinkara was never filmed as requisite permission was denied.

Advocate Mihir Thakore, representing Aamir Khan, said "the court has upheld all our arguments and we had provided substantial evidence to prove those claims."

Because Aamir did not kill any human being unlike the other actor. If Aamir does any harm to human/animal life, this forum might explode then 😆

This case was for featuring a chinkara not killing

Weren't people discussing about his abandoned child and bitter relations with his father and brother few weeks ago?

Regarding this case, I think Aamir and co are lying.

Previous reports had even forest guards confirming that a real chinkara was used in filming of Lagaan.

Aamir too has high profile links. No wonder he escaped. He is Swach Bharat ambassador now and his relative Najma Heptullah is Minority Affairs Minister in present ruling Government of India. 😉
