i knoww!! it was truly disgusting to see a man like JA say such horrible things! coming this from a man who u prolli look up to, emon must have felt terrible.
even though JA is entitled to his own opinion, he has noooo right to pass a judgement tht EMON CANT BE A PLAYBACK SINGER! tht was utterly rong n immature just coz JA was bias towards ankita.

I think JA was behaving very childishly as he was not letting Anu to speak! 😆 My daughter used to do it closing her ears and blabbering non stop!!

JA is no GOD so he should avoid predicting Emon's future. JA, you are a judge so just stick to it and find faults in singing, performance if you can't encourage them! Who will be a playback singer and who won't is a matter of destiny. Don't pass your judgements on it!

i totally agree with Javed Akhtar..... it was his opinion and he has right to say whatever he wants to say...

it was especially disgusting because javed acts like hes so high and mighty and he claimed during smita's thing that audiences were watching only with their eyes and not using their ears which is a wrong way to judge...and by openly supporting ankita and saying out of his own mouth that she cannot sing but she can perform, he is doing exactly what he accused the public of doing, he is only using his eyes to watch ankita perform and ignoring his ears...javed is a huge hypocrite and he has no idea what the ideal indian woman should be like....ankita, hopping out of cages and doing chamma chamma, up bihar, dhoomkas all over the place is NOT the ideal indian woman...imo deepali was an amazing example of graciousness, brains, talent, personality and dignity...i would have thought javed dignified enough to back some1 like deepali, and if not that than to at least respect that it is a singing competition and regardless of anything emon is a better singer than ankita

JA was absolutely right. Emon has a limited use as a playback singer with his high voice. He might still get offers but they will be for high pitched and folksy or semiclassical songs.

I really admire JA for shutting AM out. That was really awesome. I get the feeling that it was agreed ahead of time that judges will just state their opinions and there wont be discussion on it.
JA rocks for finally putting AM in place.

Agree that JA shouldn't have said that Emon cannot be a singer. Though it is absolutely true that he will not be able to. How many Indian Idol has become a singer sicne II1. Not even a single one? moreover Emon is at No.3 and first 2 are AMit and Prashant.
