Says Katrina Kaif; stating it's her prerogative to react or not on speculative stories written about her and her rumoured relationship with Ranbir Kapoor
Avinash Lohana connect@absoluteindianews.com Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's alleged relationship has always been much in the news, and their holidays have probably got even more attention. Earlier they were captured spending quality time in Ibiza and now very recently the couple who are very much in love, were spotted in Maldives. We asked the actress about her much publicised holiday, to which Katrina says, "See for the media or paparazzi, it's their job to speculate and pass the information as they are media persons. And it's my job or my right to not comment on it. So, one has to learn how to live together in a happy balance. You have to learn how to live and let live, I have to learn how to let the media do their job. They have to respect that I may or may not necessarily choose to comment on everything they wish me to." However, do these speculations have become a point of discussion on the dinner table? "Topic of conversation on dinner table is very rarely what comes in the media. See, actors also live a normal life, they are normal people. See we are not prisoners of the media, I can't actually speak for the people, but I am not a prisoner of anything or anyone. I don't restrict my movements because I am afraid what people would see or say. It's just means that I don't comment on it, but there is no fear of Oh my God will someone see us?' I am living my life doing whatever I am happy with. Sometimes the media covers different things and sometimes they don't and it's okay. We are co-existing, and are not hiding from each other," Katrina says. Meanwhile, the actress will soon be seen making her debut on the red carpet at the 68th edition of the Cannes International Film Festival. And indeed many are looking forward to this grand affair. Speaking about her excitement, Katrina adds, "I am walking on the opening day which is on the May 13. I am really looking forward to having a good time. I am very happy to be representing L'Oreal Paris and India on this platform along with their other ambassadors. It's a new experience and a new territory for me. It's going to be a learning experience as well. It's a platform which is mixing fashion, glamour along with amazing movies, which I would like to see as well." And is she nervous? "There is no point in being nervous. We all know the kind of scale, platform that is there, and the amount of eyes that's look towards different appearances on the red carpet. I think I just need to be me, so I will try and have a good time rather than take the pressure," Katrina concludes.
