A person with even a little common sense can see how distasteful this ad is..Is it purposely done to gain more criticism so that people talk about it?

Publicity gud or bad do the perfect job of advertisement. I for once dont believe that they didn't realise tat it was a bad ad. they must have guessed the after effect.

Just look at this. it got trended everywhere. Kalyan got so much of publicity. and despite the child in pic, i m sure many people wud have taken notice of Aishwarya and the jewellary. so the job is done and also on such a big scale and in very very short time. Nobody knew Kalyan in many places and now it is 'in'famous.

how wicked this world is.

^This so much. Looks wise, it was their most successful styling (dress+jewels) so far. Even if it was distasteful, we still took notice of how beautiful Aishu looked in the Sabya + jewellry. It wont diminish their sales for sure.
