There is too much about him & KK in the press and that has detracted from his ability as an actor.
He shuld focus more on his work and less on his Gfs.

Ranbir Kapoor was over-hyped since the day Saawariya released.
Poor guy - that automatically puts a lot of pressure on a debutant.
He did grow as an actor and was great in Barfi!
However he is not as great as he is made out to be.
Had it not been for Nepotism he wouldn't have bagged the films that made him - let alone survive.
The likes of Ranveer have come along and stolen some thunder...
And now there's a whole brigade of Siddharths, Sushants and even Varuns... He needs to play catch up having been away so long.
It worked for Hrithik when he took a break 2004-2006... but from what I saw in the Bombay Velvet trailer, it looks disastrous.

Wht goes up must come down. Ranbir is talented, driven, smart and popular. So eve if BV doesn't do well he will bounce back.

actually ranbir ruined the kashyap brothers, dabangg was an amazing film, it was a combo of abhinav and salman together, he was the most sought after director after dabangg, and what movie is he making now?

and anurag may not have been an box-office success but everyone agreed he was a good filmmaker( I think he is overrated) but never have such horrible articles come about him before bombay velvet.

but bombay velvet may be success so we'll see

Bombay velvet looks promising and I am personally AK fan he can't make nonsense on the name of mainstream film.. JJ might turn flop as the story isn't well-based but have high hope for Tamasha. So BV and Tamasha r the tramp cards for 2015.. One of them will be surely hit if not average, and the biopic depends on how much it'll be bio and how much pic.

Tamasha and Ayan Mukherjee's next with Aloo will certainly be good.

Even if BV and JJ aren't so good, Ranbir's performance will be appreciated like in Rockstar. I think as long as you have one hit film in a year (no matter how many flops) it maintains your star value. Like Tamasha will do for Bir next year, and Ayan's next will do for 2016/17 or whenever it releases.

For example, Akshay had Holiday, Entertainment and Shaukeens this year. But assuming Shaukeens fails, Akshay will still be hailed for Holiday, which was a good film and a bonafide hit at the BO.

Akshay has achieved success and crossed that stage where he needs to worry abt hits and flops , he is in the industry for almost 25 years
While ranbir has not achieved that kind of success and he has a long way to go
