Where do I begin? At the beginning I suppose. It was with a foreboding of apprehension that I picked up this book ...
But when I completed the book, I was at a loss for words to describe the journey. Its like I started rowing a tiny raft in a small pond, but found myself in the middle of a turbulent ocean without any oars. I read the first chapter and the next thing I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life reading that one book.lol..
Arundhati Roy commands a repertoire of eclectic lexicon that is matched only by her own sublime art of storytelling. She has her own syntax. Her own semantics. The profundity of her work, lies not in the plot, but in her pure, gut wrenching, heartfelt writing. The juxtapositions. The paradoxes. The nuances. The undertones. The subtleties. All so overwhelming that they crawled inside my head and resonated with something within me that I never knew existed in the first place....such was the impact on me...
Now when I have read it multiple times, I can definitely see some so called "places to improve" in writing....but the impact is still the same...bcz more than the plot what makes it memorable is her writing..
Very immersive experience...I love it
One of the most dangerous people alive although her relevance has decreased considerably
Omg.....Thank you soooo much.
And can I say love, admiration and appreciation are completely mutual? I also love your posts a lot...so coming from you these words of appreciation genuinely means a lot ❤️
And hey ....thank you for understanding..This is what I meant to say....Tere Ishq mein had depiction of toxic love instead of glorification,it rather made me scared of such relationship....
And yeah even though I loved Tere ishq mein but I am not blind to the nature of that movie...I completely understand that it can shock ,irritate, annoy and make people uncomfortable as well....so I understand that as well ❤️
Thank you once again ❤️
