Perfection, that is what the episode was. The absolute pinnacle of excellence, of story-telling and acting.

Gautam and Seema ji, words fail me. What does one even say for what they achieved today?? It was magical and beyond. Rarely you get to see something so powerful and extraordinary.

Now diving straight into the episode that was;

Maimuyi, Rudra and the power that emanates from them;

The power that radiates from Rudra and Maiymui is astounding. They look heavenly, I was reminded of Galadriel (or Gandalf if you will with the staff, the Istari light) and Aragorn form the Lord of the rings. Mighty, strong, kind and beautiful yet terrible in their own way.

For the first time we saw Maimuyi wielding her power. Her wisdom, her knowledge we all had been aware of from the start; now we got to see the physical side of her. A force-feild seemed to be engulfing her and light was coming of her staff as well (hence the Gandalf comparison😉). She was mighty and terrifying; a force to be reckoned with. I loved how she made short-work of Balvesh's men.

The sad part though is that there is no Sauron or even Saruman for that matter. Imagine how riveting that would have been, to have a contest of such proportions. But Alas! it is not be be, as least not yet. Rather what we have got is a Grima Wormtongue or a Denethor, making it an as one sided a mismatch as there ever was.

Dansh for the most part due to the incompetence of the actor portraying him, doesn't hold a candle up to Rudra and Maimuyi. He looks so tiny in stature, so mortal in-front of them.

My suspicions that it was bad acting more than anything else were confirmed during the scene where Rudra opens that box and finds Shivanand's head. It was so powerful and really made you think of how evil, dark and twisted the opposition is. For the first time I had the feeling that nagas were a force and it wont be easy at all to protect the Amrit from them.

But the catch was that no Dansh was present there. As soon as his face came up, all went back to normal.

Rudra choosing his Father over the Books:

As Rudra put it, you have to lose the battle sometimes to win the war. The books are necessary no doubt but to what extent?? Rudra I feel is taking a calculated gamble here. Shivanand is very important to the mission and to Rudra as well. Without him, the Garudas are not the perfect organism they are meant to be and thus can never function as one, which is essential in order to protect the Amrit. If it indeed comes down to that, the books are but a small price to pay. That is what Rudra thinks.

The thing to note here is Maimuyi is on the same page as Rudra and later tells him too that the knowledge of Amrit is in Maa Saraswati. The books I think in themselves alone are almost redundant. There is a missing link somewhere. Maimuyi knows this too and that is why she is supporting Rudra in his decision.

On the other other-hand Dr.Rao is not of the same opinion. He feels that if Shivanand was making the choice, he would have chosen the books. But he is forgetting that Shivanad is not the leader, he wasn't meant to be. He cant see what Rudra can nor think like him; that is the basic and the most fundamental difference b/w the two. Maybe Rudra knows something he and we don't? Because I don't think Rudra and Maimuyi would be stupid or naive enough to handover the Amrit to the Nagas. There is something that we are not seeing atm,a missing link, which both Rudra and Maimuyi are aware of.

Another thing worth remembering here is how both Shivanand and MB have told Rudra that the knowledge is within him. Come the right time and if Rudra looks in the right place it will come to him.

That could be it and explain why Maimuyi is supporting Rudra and why both of them look so calm.

The Purpose of the Garuda Pramukh:

I quoted this wonderful quote in one of my posts before:

"Deep knowledge is to be aware of disturbance before disturbance, to be aware of danger before danger, to be aware of destruction before destruction, to be aware of calamity before calamity. Strong action is training the body without being burdened by the body, exercising the mind without being used by the mind, working in the world without being affected by the world, carrying out tasks without being obstructed by tasks.

By deep knowledge of principle, one can change disturbance into order, change danger into safety, change destruction into survival, change calamity into fortune. By strong action in the Way, one can bring the body to the realm of longevity, bring the mind to the sphere of mystery, bring the world to great peace, and bring tasks to great fulfillment."

This was wonderfully summed up by Maimuyi when she was explaining to Rudra that being the Garuda Pramukh, what was his purpose. Taking it a bit further, this fascinating tale from the yore of China captures the essence of what Maimuyi was telling Rudra;

A lord of ancient China once asked his physician, a member of a family of healers, which of them was the most skilled in the art.

The physician, whose reputation was such that his name became synonymous with medical science in China, replied, "My eldest brother sees the spirit of sickness and removes it before it takes shape, so his name does not get out of the house."

"My elder brother cures sickness when it is still extremely minute, so his name does not get out of the neighborhood."As for me, I puncture veins, prescribe potions, and massage skin, so from time to time my name gets out and is heard among the lords."

Rudra the Garuda Pramukh has to be the eldest brother. See what no one else can, feel what is coming before it is set in motion, take decisions when others don't even know that such action has to be taken.

The conversation b/w Maimuyi and Rudra:

Gehri neend mein so rahi hai, sone de... Koi Sapna Salona dekh rahi hai, dekhne dey??

MB drew two parallels here or am I thinking too much into it?? Don't blame me, I have watched the scene at least half a dozen times already.😉
Firstly the obvious one to Kathrine.
To herself; She is proud of Rudra, what he has achieved up-till now, how far he has come. And maybe overwhelmed by how much love, respect Rudra has given her despite knowing deep inside she is in-fact not his Maimuyi. To him she is her, and as he says that he sees the spirit of Maimuyi inside her, who knew him ever more so than himself. How he looks up to her, the trust he has in her and how high he holds her in his life. As Bhairivi says those words, the love and the affection she has for Rudra is evident in her eyes. Hence the koi sapna dekh rahi hai, dekne dey??

"Tu kiya soch rah hai?? Ke Un Gundoon ko Bgahaani wali teri Mayimui thi ya..."
"Wo jo bhi thi, hamare liye hamari liye humai maimuyi hi thi..."

Notice how quick he was to dismiss any other possibility. He didn't want her to be anyone else. She was, is and will always be his Maimuyi to him.

"Per sirf roop hi nahi, app mein to jaise Mayimui ki atma ho, Jo hmain janati hai hum say bhi zaida...
Kaise janati hain app??"

Beautiful, just beautiful. But what was more mesmerizing to me were the expressions of both Rudra and Maimuyi .

So many emotions were flowing through Rudra when he looked up to her as he stood there at the door and then later when he was asking her with almost childlike wonder Kaise jaanti hain app?? Questions as to who and how she is?? How his Miamuyi came back to him?? Pride because he was her student, he was learning from her and becoming a better person. Awe at how powerful, strong, full of wisdom yet so humble she is. Wonder at how she knows so much about him, and as he said even more so than himself. Joy and happiness that his Maimuyi was back with him.

The way Rudra said that, it was evident just how much he had missed Maimuyi and the place that she holds in her life. How glad he is to have her back in any shape or form in his life. To Rudra , she is his Maimuyi because she reminds him of her. She understands him, knows him, is there for him when he needs her the most.

"teri aankoon mein dekh liya main ne... Maimuyi kon thi, kia thi teri liye??"

This again establishes the bond between Rudra and Maimuyi, it is really one of kind. So powerful, so beautiful and endearing. Bhairvi saw that too immediately. Who and what was Maimuyi to Rudra. I don't think Rudra would have trusted her as easily or listened to her at that mountain top had she been in any other form.

"Agar eik diya bujg jata hai to hum usee doosary diye say jala dete hai. To wo joyti kis diye ki hogi??
Wo sirf aik saghti hai, jo ujala karne keliye kissi bhi diye ki joyti ban jatee hai."

To me that is what Bhairvi is. Light. Her purpose to bring about enlightenment wherever she goes, make others see, to help them reach their potential, realize their purpose. To take away the darkness that fills the world. As she did with Rudra by coming to him in the form of Maimuyi, Maimuyi who was above everyone and everything to him.

It doesn't matter in doing so what form she has to take, what path she has to tread. Just like light. Light bends, warps, goes around, takes different forms but still caries on it mission, its purpose. To help us see, understand; to light up the wonders of this magical universe to our eyes.

A very beautiful post for a very beautiful episode.
Loved reading how well you have touched upon all the highlights of the episode.

Bhairavi's repeated insistence on 'gehri neend Mein so rahi hai, sone do, koi sapna salona DEKH rahi hai, dekhne do' was somewhat puzzling and I guess had a meaning behind it.

I suppose she meant that Katherine is not aware of the reality, and it's not yet time to awaken her.

You post is 👏

This is a beauty Arsal. And especially I loved your take. True leaders are those who take action before it happens. But name and fame comes to people who control disaster. Because the actions of the first kind is not known as nothing is seen or heard. It was contained at source.
