Crime and Poverty

Good Morning!

Have been wondering if Most of the criminals are poor people !!!! If poor people tend to do crimes more than wellsettled people....what about the wealthy Don's like Dawood and all........if poverty has some direct proportionality with crime commiting tendency.....why is that there is good crime rate in developed countries.....ok..if poverty has nothing to do with crime commiting tendency...why is that most of the criminals are poor people........

Ok! You may feel its mean to think...that poor people are being looked down in thinking in this manner...but hunger makes people do anything ,in soem places people do murders for very less money..becuase they don't even have that money......

My question is Is crime related to economic poverty of a nation/individual?

Myth

IMO poverty is one of important factor attributing to crimal activities, but not solely. There are other factors like personal feuds, want of power, drugs etc. For petty crime yes economical condition can be the reson not otherwise.

Definitely NO, I don't think poverty plays major role in crimes and in any case they (poor) mostly commit petty crimes. It is the educated and well off people who are most dangerous and devastating bec'se they can thing BIG.
