Chapter 1
It all started that one fateful day when she met him.
Flashback:
Zoya's POV:
It was your average Saturday morning. But today, today felt different. I woke up feeling fresh and rejuvenated. Something good was going to happen. I felt it deep down in my guts. Don't get me wrong but when I have a certain feeling in my gut, it is bound to happen.
I was brung out of my thoughts when I got called by my not so dear father, King Ghafoor of Venipar. Don't bother asking why thats the name of the town I belong to. It has something to do with the founders of this place from thousands of years ago. Long story short, a wimp named Venipar pulled a sword out of a stone and he went from a nobody to somebody.
Oh by the way, did I mention my father is a king?
That means I'm a princess. (know me to state the obvious)
I may be a princess but I don't deal with all those princess stuff you hear about in those fairytales. I'm not about that sleeping apple dwarf crap. You get me?
So let's cut to the chase. I'm an 18 year old girl. My father wants to marry me off to some lame prince so he could get rid of the burden in which he refers to as his daughter.
He wasn't like this before.
Believe it or not, he was actually a happy person once. But when my birth mother died, his whole demeanor changed. Unfortunately, I remember nothing about her because she passed when I was only two years of age. Tragic, I know. But I would to love to know her more because she seems like a really sweet person.
So as I was saying, his whole demeanor changed. He mad a full 360 turn. He gave me the cold shoulder. He started treating me like a piece of crap and now I feel like it. And for the cherry on top, he got married to Razia. She is literally the epitome of devil. She will do anything in her capacity to make my father despise me even more.
I swore I fell into depression until my best friend waltzed into my life like a rainbow on a rainy day. She's everything you could want in a friend. She's sweet, fun, caring, beautiful, awesome and crazy. I love her!
Did I forget to tell you? She's my sister! Humaira Farooqi. She's the daughter of my father and Razia but thank the heavens she didn't turn out like either of them. She's the best sister anyone could have and I'd give up my life for her.
Dang it! I forgot, my dad's still calling me! Now I have to hear his wrath. *sigh*

I know, it's nothing like the first chapter. This is more like what happened before she was crying. It's sorta confusing but you'll get it as the story develops further.
