It was just a good way to tie the ending together... because normally, Harry could sense that voldemort was doing something evil when his scar hurt... so, when he sent off his kid to Hogwarts, he knew that nothing wrong would happen because of the scar on his forehead didn't hurt anymore!😃

Do you guys realise that if Voldemort had wanted, he and harry both could have lived!! He was pretty stupid to let it go though, he could have pretended to be good and then 10 years later he could have reverted beack to his old ways.

Voldemort couldnt hve "PRETENDED" to be good....

First of all, remember b4 Voldy dies, Harry tells him "Try some remorse Riddle, Be a man"...bUT obviously Voldemort will never be able to do that...coz feeling remorse is bcuming human and LV's soul is already so destroyed...he himself tore it apart and thus Harry knew he wudnt do it..But Harry wanted to get the message acoross to Voldemort that his inhuman acts have resulted in his death.
