Sakshi Sivanand, much in demand in Telugu films, made her debut in Vaanchinathan opposite Vijaykanth and was seen only in one song and a few scenes. Now Yogeshwar, her co-actor and producer of a Kannada film Sainika, says that Sakshi cheated him by sending in her younger sister who looks like her as a stand in.
On the sets of Vedham, the Arjun-starrer, Sakshi told media persons that it was she who was cheated by Yogeshwar. "Yogeshwar, to get publicity for his film, gave out this story and since then has been off the hook. My sister Shilpa(riddhima) is 20 months younger, has black eyes, is 5"5 and is working as a trainee software programmer. I made my debut in Tamil with Puthayal opposite Aravind Swamy under Selva's direction. Shilpa is not at all intrested in films and is in Mumbai right now. It was to be a remake of a Telugu film in which I had starred but later on Ramya Krishnan was added to the cast. And for your information, I have never played the second heroine in any film. Saakshi appeared for shoot for a few days and obtained permission to go back to Hyderabad for two days. After these two days came back Saakshi. It was one evening Yogishwar came to know that Saakshi's mother is talking to Saakshi over the phone. At this time it was discovered that Saakshi has a twin sister but still the name mother uttered over the phone baffled Yogishwar. They the hunt for truth explained all.
