Aamir Khan blasts industry, says kids content scary - Page 4

See here's my thought process behind this. Some will understand, others won't. I'm taking the time to write this because you kindly asked while still respecting the views that I had even though they differed from yours.

So Aamir thinks that kids content these days isn't really kids content, right? His film PK isn't much less then. If you firmly believe in something, you have to start the change in order for people to follow. Imagine a 2 year old or a 3 year old watch a nude Aamir Khan on screen. Understood that at that young age they don't even know who the actor is. But then think about a 5 year old or a 6 year old (still a young child). I think the parent's role in their children's lives becomes a huge impact in this too. I didn't see his film PK as child content to be very honest. The first poster of the movie was a nude Aamir. Obviously his private parts were going to be covered. I don't think the poster would have even been approved if they weren't. So that's not a fair argument that his private parts were covered. Aamir has an image he has to uphold as does the entire industry, especially if you're one of the big names. It may not have had a direct impact on children. But the point is that it wasn't appropriate kids content. And since he's coming out about the issue, then the change should start with him. He can't expect that change just automatically begins to happen. Someone has to take a stand. Nudity, in my opinion, is nothing compared to sex scenes, drinking, smoking, and all of those things being portrayed on the big screen. Now, if a movie is STRICTLY adult content it should be stated. Then if kids still watch it, the blame shifts to the parents. I don't know if you're following me or not. But that's my viewpoint. If he's going to preach about it, he needs to start the change. And his latest movies just speaks against his thoughts. In my opinion.
