After recently winning the National Award for best actress for Queen, actress Kangana Ranaut is definitely feeling on top of the world. However, Kangana, who is shooting for Tanu Weds Manu 2 in Haryana, has no time to celebrate. She adds that she had no idea about National Award till she started getting flooded with congratulatory messages. Speaking about winning the National Film Award for the second time (she first won the National Award for best supporting actress for Fashion), Kangana said, "It's a great feeling and totally different from what I had experienced last time when I won my first National Award. It's insane this time. I am amazed by the number of messages and congratulatory calls I am getting since the time it announced. The whole response is totally overwhelming.
I am happy."Kangana considers Priyanka Chopra a strong contender for the National Award. "I remember when I entered in the industry 6 to 7 years back I was new, a struggler and Priyanka was an establish actress I used to look at her and from there to competing with her for the National Award, I have come a long way. I think it's quite an exciting time for me as an actor because Priyanka is an excellent actress and her film Mary Kom deserves to be there so competing for same the award is good," added Kangana.
Apparently Priyanka gave all the credit to Queen director Vikas Bahl, which seemed like a kind of rivalry between the two actresses but Kangana denies any rivalry between them. "I agree with what Priyanka wrote about Vikas, he deserves all the credit. He needs to be credited for making this film and for having faith in me. Vikas is amazingly talented and all this wouldn't have been possible without him. Priyanka has always been kind to me. She called me from California to congratulate me when the awards were announces. She spoke to me at length. I don't know what people say but my respect and love for her goes beyond everything," said Kangana.
When asked about her comments when Priyanka had received popular awards for Mary Kom earlier this year, Kangna said, "I have always been misquoted and misunderstood but it doesn't matter as our relation goes far beyond all this. I always focus on my work. Queen is a movie which deserved to win every award so nothing matters now."Finally, Kangana revealed that she is getting to work with people she always wanted to work with hence she is enjoying this stage of her life. "It's a great feeling to get acknowledged for your work and talent but what matters is the kind of work you get or do after that. I am happy with the way my career has shaped up at this stage of my life. I have also been getting the kind of films I want to do. I am getting to work with the people I want to so it's great feeling," she concluded.
