While it was confirmed earlier this week that Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan and Alia Bhatt have been signed for Karan Johar's next film Kapoor & Sons', the question now arises, which actor will play the gay character in the film.

Movie Talkies reports that one of the leading actors will play a closet homosexual. The film, which is a family drama-comedy also stars Rishi Kapoor as the strict patriarch of the Kapoor' family.

Kapoor & Sons' releases next year. It is directed by Shakun Batra.

Well if the movie does have a gay character, let him remain in the closet until we get to see the film. That will add good suspense to the story.😛

That will keep the suspense alive and we on IF will create a gazillion polls asking who you think will be the one?

On a serious note..i think they will not disclose it for sure..they may even make it appear a hetrosexual movie..just to have that shock value in the movie

Maybe Alia will play a lesbian? If yes then this love triangle will be fun to watch..both brothers will fight for the girl and at the end they get 'baba ji ka thullu'..😆

sid n fawad are brothers but aalia falls for sid and fawad falls for aalia! now SidM for her brother happiness will reveal fakely that he is gay! n thn on day of fawad aalia wedding in midst ..they vll gt to knoe sid loves aalia and is faking gay identity..fawad will sacrifice n aalu sid will gt married on that mandap

Shakun Batra himself refuted this rumor months ago.

This is a typical case of one publication repeating an old rumor and everyone else repeating it. Up until 24 hours or so ago everyone was also convinced that Sid and Alia were playing siblings.

I'm going to laugh my tuchus at all the detractors when this movie comes out.

This gay lesbian thingy getting lame and crappy day by day. Dharma production should stop making gay lesbian films. KJo needs to know there are other stories also.
