Have you seen the movies which won Best Director or Best Actor to pass the judgement that Haider was more deserving? Haider may have been very good but it cant win in every category. National Award considers cinema of all languages and dont dismiss their quality so lightly. Infact 5 national awards for one movie is a great achievement in itself and very few Bollywood movies have got that. So Haider was in no way ignored.

I am not that much of a movie buff to see all movies in all languages!..may be you are!...😆...it is my suspicion and I have a right to voice it!..Haider was full of superlative performances by Shahid, Tabu & KK Menon!...so it does amount to an ignore!..although I am very happy Bismil & Vishal got awards!..😳

If winning 5 national awards amounts to ignore, then 99.9% of Bollywood movies are even more ignored than that. Or maybe the jury should have declared that Haider is the first movie to sweep all awards across all categories coz it is the most brilliant and superlative piece of cinema to ever come out of Indian film industry. Maybe then Haider would have got its due.

Because it was an okay movie, nothing great. The second half dragged. plus it's already been done before with OMG, which IMO, is a better movie
