About Taher Shabbir Mithaiwala:

He strode in to our lives as Viraj Singh Rathore and stayed on as Taher Shabbir Mithaiwala.

The prince of Bhendi Bazaar as he jokingly refers to himself is all set to rule hearts. This drop dead gorgeous Hot and Handsome Hunk is for sure a Thief of hearts. With his easy and jovial mannerism he makes an instant connection and puts all at ease and makes people forget he is a star of Television . Never a dull moment with him around. Whether we have him setting our screens ablaze with his acting or when he is blowing his signature flying kiss to his fans, he has all eyeballs glued to the screen

In his own words an Actor, Writer, Director,he is also a great Photographer, sings like a dream and is a great Dancer. Multifaceted, he is this cool guy with an enthusiasm for his work which is motivating; not very different from his favorite actor Shah Rukh Khan, also known for his enthusiasm for everything he does. Very soon Taher's fan will watch him share screen-space with King Khan in his upcoming Movie Fan

This movie will surely be a double bonanza for the Badshaah and Taher fans!! With his idol being Dilip Kumar one can feel how deep rooted is his love for cinema in everything he does. . .

The true slave to cinema, as he calls himself, has many feathers in his cap. One of his early work behind camera was a college documentary on Naxalism with his friend and partner Ashutosh Shah.

The duo have worked together for a number of big names of the commercial and Bollywood industry-Prakash Varma, Uzer khan, Amit sharma, Vinil Mathew, Farouk Al Joffrey and a lot of international ad film directors . Renowned filmmakers Madhur Bhandarkar and Sudhir Mishrahave also offered them work. Some of their work can be viewed in the RNP films website.

Now if the above gives one a vision that we are talking about a serious- "All work and no play" Dull John then we could not be more wrong . Dedicated he is to his work and talented to the core. However he's also full of life and a person who LIVES life not just spends his day routinely. He's a fun loving person with a great sense of humor and a deep sense of responsibility towards everything he does whether it is acting, writing, directing or even simply talking !!

He looks straight in the eye and thatconnects all- to his work and also to him as a person who is humble hearted and strives hard to spread happiness in all he does . A quality which is indeed rare in the time we live in.

He has started his acting venture on Television as the lead in Sukesh Motvan's

Nisha aur Uske cousins under Bodhi Tree Productions as Viraj Singh Rathore a Prince with a royal upbringing who is also an ace shooter and an epitome of women empowerment- A role which he has essayed marvelously

The talent he has displayed till now seems to be just the tip of iceberg with a lot to explore . With his dedication and honesty towards all that he does one can be sure there are going to be many milestones which will be covered.

He is a person who gives credit and due respect to all around him- be it is co-workers, his fans or even the support crew like cameraman, makeup man etc. I am sure collects a lot of blessings and good will from all.

Of course one cannot forget about the infection he spreads when ever he is around .. HIS SMILE . THAT's infectious Hope he keeps spreading cheer all around just the way he is doing now ..

Introduced as a champion of women empowerment, Viraj was quite the epitome of perfection. Yet, it was hinted then itself that all was not well regarding Viraj's family.

For a long time Viraj came across as unbreakable. Nothing's tough! He would say. Having fought paralysis alone, he inspired awe and admiration in the viewer's (and Nisha's) eyes.

Slowly the yearning for his mother came out. Again we admired the strength he portrayed by not blaming every living female creature around. Yet the reserve and longing for someone to break that reserve were evident.

Viraj had been tested time and again. Shekhar, Buaji, even Dadaji for the Kyra fiasco... Viraj wanted to trust. He wanted to hold on to his innocence. Perhaps that was why he was drawn to Miss Nisha. She was innocence personified. That he respected a woman's space, encouraged her and patiently helped her overcome her fear was again admirable.

Somewhere down the line Nisha became synonymous with hope for Viraj. She was making it easier to be innocent. He wasn't trying that hard anymore.

Aarthi, on the other hand, helped him understand what was going on. Yes, Viraj needed help with identifying his own emotions. He was seeing himself through Aarthi's eyes. Imagine his surprise when Aarthi saw how pitiable he was behind the nothing's tough facade, yet she didn't cringe. Viraj was beginning to hope that he wasn't exactly beyond repair.

When the truth was exposed at the press conference, Viraj lost his only hope. His "Et tu Brute? Then fall Caesar. " moment. At that moment, Viraj actually fell. He was exhausted of hoping. His efforts at preserving his innocence seemed futile.

After this he stopped trying to curb the negativity inside himself. Decades of longing turned into bitterness. Viraj had lost the ability to trust. He had lost the ability to keep trying. We don't know if anything will justify his demeaning remarks. What we do know is that this is the way one would feel if wronged at every turn.

Nisha exposed his vulnerable side. Then she just begged for him to give her a chance. No one saw the open wounds... That were being pricked every moment by Kyra, Buaji and later by seeing Nisha with Kabir.

Seeing her with Kabir this soon only confirmed his doubts that Nisha's love for himself was shallow. This in turn convinced him that he wasn't worthy of true love.

This is the same guy who hoped his mother would return if he proved himself. Self deprecating. He actually thought his mother had left because he wasn't good enough!
