The 32-year-old fashion consultant Neeraj Paul's (Bhilai-based) eviction from 'Biggest Loser Jeetega' (Sahara One) was not without drama. With participants Sandeep Sachdev, Natasha Grover and Ajay Nagrath insulting Neeraj for playing a dirty game, it was commendable when the latter kept his composure.
Neeraj says, "I don't believe in losing my dignity. It was decided between Ajay, Natasha and me that we would support each other in being the three finalists. I trusted Ajay and Natasha but they've betrayed me. It's sad that now weight loss has taken a backseat and it's only a game.
It's all about saving oneself from eviction now." He alleges that Natasha is manipulating Ajay and Sandeep because both men have declared their fondness for her. "They are like her waiters, attending to her every need. They will do anything for her, even avoid losing weight to see that she wins," says Neeraj.
Having seen the episode after his elimination, he says he is shell-shocked. "I want to bash up the director (Arun Sheshkumar) since they've shown me sitting around as though I've missed my workouts. The truth is that I was sitting after completing my three workout sessions. It's become like 'Bigg Boss' now," he fumes.
On a positive note, he says that the show has helped him get rid of his diabetes and though he has still 15 kilos to shed. "I want to look good for my wife. I belong to the fashion industry in which appearances matter. I'm also going to use my exposure to get roles in serials or films. I have always wanted to be an actor," he says. Neeraj hopes that Hiren Bhavsar wins. "He's honest. He is a good strategist and plays a fair game," he says.
Host speak
The usually affable anchor Suniel Shetty was seen talking tough during Neeraj's eviction. Being firm with participant Sharmila Joshi during the eviction, Shetty says, "They're all faking it since they know the game is slipping from their hands. Why should she cry and allege that others are bad when she has also indulged in planning the eviction of others. She is no Mahatma Gandhi. She knows her time is up if she doesn't lose weight. So she's giving lame excuses."
On Neeraj's eviction, Shetty says, 'He has been good at taking on challenges but he is capable of losing more weight."
