yepp..SRGMP is defintely a better hunt wen ur looking for talent..i think dey focus only and only on singing wid the exception of one or two conetestants. But I liek to watch II more cuz der is an emotional attachement wid de contestants and its more entertaining in my opinion

lol well i watch both shows and i love them both for different reasons. the thing is...they're different shows looking for different things. sa re ga ma pa only takes trained singers who are only looking to be playback singers whereas indian idol gives a chance to trained AND untrained singers. and i think that's great because in the past some of our greatest singers have been untrained (like kishore kumar, etc.) and whoever becomes an indian idol will probably do more than just playback singing. they'll sing their own songs, not just film songs and i'm sure they'll do a lot of stage performances as well. anyway, i like the fact that both shows are different otherwise i'd be bored. and they both do a great job of finding singers that appeal to us (the public) so i'm not complaining 😉

I think Voice of India has the best talent and then sa re ga ma.
Here are the pros and cons -
VOI : Best talent /majorly natakbaaz judges .. loads of rigged drama.

II: Best hosts and mostly a no nonsense show /Very few really good singers .. alas the eternal quest for 'performance' is its pitfall.

Sa re ga ma: best exposure for singers to the industry , decent talent, decent format and judges histrionics are moderate.

i like Indian Idol better...i rarely watch saregamapa...and its not that bad...but i still like II...😃

Yes! SRGMP has better and strong talent than the Indian Idol finalist. If we put the indian idol contestents on the SaReGaMaPa stage they will be creamed by the SRGMP people. The only one who can survive for 2-3 rounds would be Amit and Deepali. But I still watch Indian Idol regularly because it is catchy and the people in it are really fun to hear an see. Basically indian idol is more entertaining.

yaa i competely agree on this point that saregamapa has better talent and high standard in music... and to be very frank, seeing the history people who sang on saregamapa are more successful than the Indian Idols so far... and why not ? people in saregamapa are better trained and have been practicing for years and the voices are polished however in indian idol the singers are new and even if trained their singing is not polished... they can do pop singing...but not that fit for playback
