Agree she still is far from reality...
I have too found that episode funny Rama when she said I will go to Paris.lol
And I think Sneha is more intelligent than Rishi. She should make the girls face the truth

even i was wondering what wud make her understand her situation!
she has not yet understood the gravity of their situation! when she runs out of money then she;ll understand the true value of money.
but its not totally poor amaya's fault..her richie rich dad spoiled her by providing with what ever she wishes...

The reality has not been realized yet by all three girls. Sneha is the only person who understands and has taken a reasonable approach by moving to Banaras. She needs some more time to get over her sorrow and to think what next.

The girls have no idea of how much money they have left or what to do next. Cannot blame them as they are still young and it takes time for them to come to reality in terms of basic amenities. They even do not have any idea how they are going to manage expenses even in Banaras. They only have the house free of rent now.

If they have plans to go back to Mumbai, they cannot adjust immediately to the middle class lifestyle nor would they be able to live peacefully at this moment due to media attention and their friends alienating them due to social stigma. Even if Rachita and Amaya go for jobs, how much they would get. I was amused by the way Amaya said she will go to Paris first, get job and then others can join her.

This is all to make it more dramatic.

Sneha having a sit-down with the daughters to explain the financial status... and the girls consequently being careful with the spending would not be as dramatic as Amaya realizing it the hard way that the family is indeed bankrupt.

@bohemian

What more (hard way) is required now...or there can be than knowing about the scam, debt and loosing everything as a consequence even father. Though for the show some drama is required but I believe to keep viewers connected it should be kept to minimum and not so obvious. We all have swallowed the initial one coz it had to be for the story to progress...

Cherry,

As much as I agree with you about keeping the drama to the minimum, desi shows are not targeted for viewers like us who prefer stories to be crisp and real. I too would prefer to see a more real story without nonsensical drama. Apparently, it needs to touch rock-bottom (be completely penniless) before Amaya realizes the truth.

The writers have taken a lot of creative liberties with the whole bankruptcy stuff. A businessman always keeps the assets divided between the family, particularly the spouse. Here, the family turned homeless overnight.
