What happens when one commits a mistake and see that the person you are interested is with someone else, even though the other person happens to be your brother and had been her best friend??? The green monster takes over not because his brother might woo the girl but because he is unable to be there in his brother's place and be the reason of her smile... This was an unpleasant event that he brought upon himself... He couldn't accept that she did not recognise him even when her gaze passed over him forgetting his visor hid his face! What the! is all I can say and to give him the benefit of doubt... he must have thought Khushi has ignored him deliberately as she was hurt by his actions...

In retrospection he could see that the day he barged into Khushi's house he had made a mistake and added errors in judgement to it.. When he scaled down from his peak of anger he could see that what he thought was a giant wave washing up all that they had built over their past eventful life filled very much with hues of grey and black was indeed a clear, dry, coloured path well lit up...

While he was working up his guts to present himself before them...fate presented him with a perfect opportunity when his mother made the entry into the club where they all were present...

He knew his mother would love to make Khushi a spectacle and throw knives at her...

To avoid it, what was the only solution was agreed by both the brothers... Akash stalling their mother and Arnav leading Khushi away before the avalanche hit them...

When Aarti spoke to Arnav, Khushi could see the mask of hatred was in place exclusively for her and she was ready to give a warm welcome to Sheetal...

While accepting Arnav's keys to drive his SUV... Khushi's smile gave him hope that it would be Arnav and not Mr. Raizada in their next meet...

Loved the Part 2 too Sandhya...👏👏👏

Unres...for part 1...

Hey Sandhya, this part was quite a mixed one in terms of contradicting scenarios. It presented a hopeful picture of the present and a peek into Aakash's bleak past.

The change in Khushi is so evident. It is indeed heartening to see her enjoy the small joys of life...being more gregarious, getting inspired to write and so many other things...

I guess, it's somewhat true that happiness is a decision, in the sense that, unless you decide you want to be happy, unless you allow yourself to feel it, it won't happen. And it is a definitely a step towards getting better for Khushi, her decision to permit herself to feel that she wants to be happy, she can be..and that it's not wrong.

I absolutely love the camaraderie between Aakash and Khushi. He has had such a positive influence on her. In Aakash's words, them finding each other and thus a chance at freedom from the bitterness of the past, is nothing short of benediction J

There are such adorable glimpses of their childhood selves in their antics and interactions. The way they talk about Anju...it shows they're moving towards a point where they'll be able to cherish her memories without feeling a punch in the gut.

It's nice that Khushi opened up about her situation with him. And so did Aakash.

I had expected his marriage to be bad...but not so tormenting. It's sad that he had to be at the receiving end of such disgusting tactics and for what...just some twisted sense of vengeance. Law can be a dangerous weapon in the wrong hands. Well, that explains where the aversion for media stems from, at least.

He seemed so miserable, such a tortured soul... someone who has seen so much distrust and derision directed at him that he expected the same from Khushi, too. I loved how Khushi handled the situation, comforted him in her own way by showing faith in him.

Both of them hold no prejudices against each other. Their loyalty and honesty towards their friendship is so admirable and heart-warming!

Loved the update. The emotions were beautifully depicted, Sandhya :)

Though, you do seem to derive wicked pleasure from leaving us at cliffhangers and/or leaving cryptic, teasing notes about the upcoming update!!! 😛 😭

Sandhya, both the parts was a treat to read. First of all, thank you for writing such a lovely story and for taking us to this amazing land of Coonoor with your descriptions of the nature and the surroundings there.

Part A:

I love the way Khushi is slowly coming out of her shell and laughing more often now, doing things which are more common for a girl of her age. It is so nice to read about the special bond she is forming with Lavanya and renewing her old bond with her Pati and her Attha.

Its not just Khushi who is blooming in this cocoon of love and friendship, Akash too is setting himself free from his bitter past memories and trying to embrace a more happier future.

I simply loved their cycling expedition and again reliving their childhood memories. Anjali would have been so proud of her brother and friend today.

Akash's past was so painful to read. We always talk about how women are harassed by men and society but we forget that a coin has two sides. There are certain men too who have been unreasonably wronged in life by their loved ones and who are left suffering alone miserably.

Payal indeed turned out to be a classy bitch.

What a striking difference between Payal's and Lavanya's character here.

While Payal just cribbed for not getting something which was never a possibility and made her husband's life miserable, Lavanya took the unexpected unpleasant things thrown at her by life and turned it around in her stride.

If people like Payal make us women cringe in shame, its women like Lavanya who make us proud for who we are.

I am glad that Khushi sees that Akash does need someone like La to be an anchor in his life and looks like madam is doing some match making or atleast date making adventures. 😉

Part B:

So Sir Arnav is watching his brother and Khushi chatting from a distance and drowning himself in beer after beer thinking it will eventually quench the jealousy fire which has risen in him.

And really should Aarti make her presence felt everywhere!!!!

Loved the little adventure between the trio to take Khushi out of the club safely away from Aarti's eyes.

So all settled between Arnav and Khushi!!! No bitter feelings now!!!!

Will Arnav accompany them to the next Avalanche trip?? I hope he does, then maybe we can have some "Rabba ves".

Finally who is this Sheetal??? Is she Arnav's girlfriend?? Is she going to be Shit-all like in other stories???

And Aarti, the queen bee of Coonoor also is fond of her. 😕

Sandhya, now more eager for the next update.

Khushi is actively trying to come out of state of her melancholy; Meeting her childhood friend and getting re-acquainted has done wonders. Its a welcome and refreshing change after all :)

It was nice to know she is loosening up a bit and enjoying the small pleasures that life has to offer;

Akash is hilarious; I'm loving his personality; And Khushi & Anjali baby'ed him? that must have sucked 😆 Love the nick name he gave her 'Kuku" (reminds me of Khushi's name in TTB) :)

So Akash's drunkenness is for a totally different reason & not what I thought originally that he rebelled Aarti for the way they were brought up and all. I felt sorry for Akash and the whole family. People these days can do anything for the money (My husband's cousin brother was a victim in a similar case. It also took them a while to get a divorce after the humiliation and the settlement)..

I had missed him, he finally made the appearance that too as a stalker 😉

I knew he would regret his words to Khushi and a big hug for him for that 😳

Ohh but what a lovely twist in the tale now, both brothers are trying to protect Khushi from Mom's wrath 😛 Loved the unfolding of the whole scene!! Glad Akash & Arnav are in this together 😃

And Arnav is right; she would have made the same scene as in temple not heeding to logical arguments, hence it is better to avoid altogether.

Loved his apology; reminded me of the apology scene from the show 😉

Hmm.. Akash can take so many drinks still not be drunk to make a logical excuse for Arnav not being there at their table and changing Khushi into Sheetal..Disheartening to know Sheetal has won her heart. I wonder how Khushi felt when she realized this..

Well at least apology is accepted (a small step in the right direction) and Khushi agreed to take his help by accepting the keys with a smile at his joke..😃

sandhyaji,why there is no hero for the last 2 chapters after lashing on kushi humara hero gayab,iguess we have to find him on tea gardens😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃.

will get back more need to read again...iam imagining akash and kushi exploring nelagiris with bike...

I loved this part. The way Akash and khushi talked / bonded... So beautiful. Just like 2 close friends. Khushi still has the birthday party photo. That was heartwarming.

Oh gosh, Akash has suffered so much. That was a sad story. I loved it when khushi understood Akash and did not judge him wrongly. That is why arnav hates journalists.

So, khushi has noticed akash's interest in Lavanya. Looking forward to the next part. Very nicely written Sandhya.
