Another question what if one is not part of the producers guild ? Are we sure Aamir and Srk are part of the producers guild ?? So during their home productions can they bunk these rules ??? 😳 😳

These new rules are pointless, IMO. People like K-Jo, SRK would never follow these rules.
Besides different movies need different type of promotions. I liked it when Disney started Khoobsurat's promotions when they released the trailer (Reason: To introduce the new face, Fawad).. then a gap.. then they started the promotions before the release of the movie.
With the restrictions, we won't see any innovative promotional tactics.

Actors anyway take paycuts for less commercial films. Like Shahid didnt charge for Haider and DP didnt charge for FF. Its fair that some neccessary staff like makeup person, hairdresser are paid based on mutual understanding between stars and producers for even smaller films.Among promotions I feel some of it is needed...like hoardings. I like to see cinema hoardings and posters in newspapers. But they must cut some crappy promotions like appearing in saas bahu shows and CID for every damn film. Maybe a few reality shows/comedy shows are ok.When it comes to promotions SRK will be most impacted. 🤣It will be interesting to see if they go ahead with those DDD concerts they had planned.

Maybe with NH10 they mean how it was promoted in a shorter timescale as compared to other films. The trailer was released on 5th February and original release date was 6th March, so they were only intending to promote the film for 4 weeks. DLKH is definitely the best example to date though for low-key promotions.

It seems like they're only asking stars to pay for part of their entourage like their managers, which is fair. A producer shouldn't have to pay for a star's manager. A makeup artist, hairdresser I can understand, but manager not really. They seem to have more rules focused on decreasing their promotional budgets.Actors should definitely consider pay-cuts for certain films...the less commercial ones for starters. I'm surprised nobody told Akki he's charging too much until Airlift. If you keep getting the salary you want then why will you take a pay-cut?
