Not India, definitely not India.

First of all, yesterday's episode was hilarious and the best I have seen from this show. Keep it up. The sudden change in their life, the sleepless night in the train, the environment that made the two girls fall sick and then the case of missing luggage was very natural. The song was also very appropriate. The desperation of the family and the song was very well put.

But it also gave us an insight of what Amaya is. She gave the description of the theif without realising it was an uniform. I am wondering how come anyone not notice that it was an uniform. Half of theIndian population have grown up watching Bacchan's Coolie. Remember the song,' Sari duniya ka bojh hum uthate hai ?'. If that is too old then every Indian show has a train moment. Not allowed on IF or else I would have given a long list of shows where I have seen coolies.

Let assume Amaya still is ignorant about it. Didn't she notice the men who were arguing to carry the luggage were all wearing the same dress ?

By the way, who is this Rudra who didn't turn up to receive the family ?

Exactly my thoughts...agree they were not living a life of common Indian, but what about knowing what's happening around in your own country, how most people around spend their lives...nothing, seems mathurs never made their children aware of the reality even in conversations.
Still, loved the episode...and waiting to see their Haveli...and first step towards being independent. No idea about Rudra...

Same thoughts here! but frankly I don't understand the character of amaya. I mean she born and brought up in Mumbai not in Paris. Agreed with the point they were not living a life of common Indian, but what about knowing what's happening around in your own country, how most people around spend their lives. If You are from Mumbai and you don't know nothing about trains journey? Mumbai's environment ? its impossible. Her body language, her thoughts and her behavior is look like she was never before in India.

we cannot say amaya is unique in her behaviour
most of the indians are like that
esp those who stay abroad and return home feel as though the country is dirty and traffic is too much and weather is too hot
people d'ont know to drive ect
while they themselves would have been here for so many years
few years abroad will change ther behaviour
few of my relatives are also like this

SHe is definitely unique as far as the coolie is concerned. I know people like Amaya may find Indian roads too crowded or small towns quite poor in comparison to Paris or other foreign countries. Yet I cannot believe a literate woman like her could not figure out it was all but an uniform even when at least three to four of coolies were quarreling over their luggage. Even air hostess and air steward have uniform. What is so not understandable about a coolie's uniform ?

Debby

I will believe tht Amaya is the baby born with a silver spoon in her mouth n has NOT travelled in India much , let alone know the coolies ...😲..yes yes I know it's admitably over exaggerated but tht is how the Indian shows work ...😆

But yes she has been given a whole NRI sort of a feel to her ..which I dont know how far they will continue to keep in the upcoming epis

Rudra was the guy the lawyer sinha appointed to take care of the Ladies , n I think he is one of the leads 😉

I think Amaya has never travelled by the trains... when they reached the railway station in Mumbai, she asked as to why couldn't they travel by flight...

I dint get your point. What two stations ? Mumbai and Benares ? And what about 10 or 15 stations the train has crossed before reaching its destination or she was hanging up there until they reached Benaras ?
