Episode 6: The Kidnapping
It was a regular morning in the city of Mumbai. And in the city, right in the central apartment complex, Sagar was walking with Bhoomi to her apartment. She had just been discharged from the hospital, and Sagar took it upon himself to bring her home safely. As they were walking alone in the hall of the second floor, Bhoomi said, "You didn't have to escort me home, you know."
"I had to. You were only discharged. I couldn't put you at risk."
"Sagar, its okay. I know you feel bad for al this. But you don't have to. I brought this upon myself."
"That may be true. But that was because of me. Besides, we have zero prism shards now. Roshan and Sanaya are leading with two, and Krish and Chaya have one."
"Its because of my injury that we couldn't do anything for the past few days."
"Don't worry about that. Your health is more important. We'll worry about catching up later."
And so, Sagar and Bhoomi had arrived to Bhoomi's apartment and entered inside the room. Once they came inside, Bhoomi slightly tripped over the doormat inside. As she fell, she was caughty by Sagar, who held her in his arms, to which she held him on his shoulders. She looked into Sagar's eyes as the two were stuck in each other's gaze. As Bhoomi tried to compose herself, her necklace got stuck onto the button of Sagar's shirt, drawing her closer to him. Bhoomi looked at Sagar, feeling shy with the position she was in. Sagar then went ahead and slowly unhooked the necklace from the button of his shirt, which let Bhoomi go. After a moment of awkward silence, Sagar said, "I have to go to work now. But I'll see you later today."
With that, Sagar left Bhoomi's apartment. She closed the door, standing right beside it, blushing on her face.
"NO! NO! NO!"
At Roshan's house, Sanaya was making breakfast in the kitchen. Once she brought it for Roshan in the dining room, the usual drama started. "What's wrong now?" Sanaya asked.
"YOU SHOULD KNOW!"
"Well I don't."
"JUST LOOK, SANAYA! THE TOMATO SLICES ARE TOUCHING THE EGGS!"
"They're supposed to. I made you a cheese, egg, and tomato sandwich."
"I DON'T WANT THEM TOUCHING! TAKE IT BACK NOW! I CAN'T EVEN LOOK AT IT!"
"I'm not your maid, Roshan. I made this out of the kindness of my heart since you're letting me stay here. And instead, your making a fuss over something as simple as the tomatos touching the eggs."
"YES! I WON'T EAT IT TILL THEY'RE NOT TOUCHING!"
"Fine then." Sanaya rolled her eyes. But in utter frustration, Sanaya went ahead and slammed the plate of food right in Roshan's face, covering his face with bread, eggs, cheese, and tomatos. "AHHH!" Roshan screamed as he started running around in the room in circles. "NOW THE FOOD IS TOUCHING MY FACE! WHY?! WHY?!"
"What a moron," Sanaya sighed. "I really should consider finding my own home on this planet. Otherwise I'll go insane like this guy."
At the HighSky Art Studio, Krish and Chaya were in their respective office rooms, working on a new project. Both of them were working as trainees at the studio, which was known as one of the best graphic designing companies in the city. As Krish was working in his office, Chaya entered inside. "Ever heard of knock?!" Krish asked.
"Shut up. I just came to show my design."
"You're done already?"
"Yeah. Here it is."
Chaya then revealed a poster paper which had an intriguing goth looking design on it which consisted of black and purple colors. Krish looked at it and said, "This is for a tea brand...not an emo soap opera."
Chaya then smacked Krish on his head in frustration. "I was going for a different look, moron." Chaya said in an irritated tone.
"Do you always have to hit me like that?! My genius cells will drain out if you keep hitting me like that!"
"Really?! If you're such a genius, what do you have so far?"
"You want to see? Fine! I'll show you!"
Krish then showed his poster paper which revealed a drawing of a young, gorgeous looking woman dressed in a short red dress, holding a red tea cup. The drawing made Chaya cringe. "See! Now this is a real tea ad! All you need is a hot model!" Krish exclaimed. "I wonder if Sanaya can wear a dress like this?"
Chaya once again smacked Krish on his head. This time making him fall flat on the floor. "Your stupidity is endless." Chaya rolled her eyes.
On the other hand, all the way in Ekta in Sector Raat, Vikesh was in his tower, treating himself to a meal in the dining room all for himself. As he was eating, a servant came towards him. "Prince Vikesh." the servant called.
"Now what?"
"You said you wanted information about the other shards."
"Have you gotten it?"
"Yes. The holders of the other shards are not in this world."
"What?! How is that possible?!"
"Our men have found out that they reside on Earth. Master Suri of Sector Din is in connection with them. Beyond this, I have no other information."
"Fine! Just make sure everything is ready for my coronation. My birthday is coming in a few days. That very day I must be crowned as the new ruler of Sector Raat."
"Prince Vikesh...I hate to say this...but that may not be possible."
"What?! You imbecile! How dare you tell me such?!"
"Don't take it wrongly, sire. But you're forgetting something. You are turning twenty five. And according to the law of this land, in order for you to become king, you must be married by your twenty fifth birthday itself. Otherwise, the crown will be passed to someone in the village. It could be-"
Before the servant could complete his sentence, Vikesh grabbed the servant by his throat, holding him real tight in a fit of rage. "Sire, please! Please have mercy on me!" the servant begged.
"You incompetent fool! You tell me all this now!" Vikesh shouted. "No! I will not let a mere villager get hold of the throne!" With that, Vikesh threw the servant to the floor as the servant tried to regain his breath.
"How many days till my birthday?"
"Three, sir."
"Very well. I will find a bride before then."
"But sir...how can-"
"Shut up! Whatever I say, will happen. By my birthday, I shall be a married man...and a crowned one at that."
"But sir...how will we find a bride that will be willing to marry you on such notice?"
"I know the perfect one."
"You mean...you're talking about her?"
"Yes."
"But are you sure she will be willing to marry you?"
"I never said the bride had to be all right with it. Send the men to find her. They know where she is."
"Yes, Prince Vikesh."
Back on Earth, in Roshan's house, Roshan had just finished cleaning his face of the food that Sanaya had thrown on him. "There's no more bread crumbs on me right?!" Roshan asked Sanaya.
"How should I know?"
"YOU SHOULD! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO DID THIS TO ME!"
"That was because you were getting on my last nerve. I should consider moving out."
"And go where?! To live in the zoo?!"
"Just because I can turn into a tiger, doesn't mean you should poke fun at that!"
Before Roshan could talk back, a portal had opened on the wall of the living room of his house. "WHY MUST HE ALWAYS OPEN PORTALS IN MY HOUSE?!" Roshan shouted. "Now I have to dust again!"
"Worry about that later. Come on." Sanaya told Roshan as she pulled him by his arm. And so, the two then entered the portal, with it closing up as they went in.
Roshan and Sanaya were then transferred to the chamber of Master Suri's tower. As they had arrived, they saw Sagar, Bhoomi, Krish, and Chaya had come as well. "You guys got sent here, too?" Sanaya asked.
"Right in the middle of work," Sagar said annoyed. "My boss won't be happy with that."
"Sorry. But its urgent." Master Suri said.
"What's up?" Krish asked.
"Three new prism shards have been detected in Sector Din." Master Suri replied.
"Three?!" Bhoomi asked.
"Yes. So all of you can go and capture them." Master Suri told the group.
"That's not right! Me and Sanaya have two! If we get three, we'll have five! AN ODD NUMBER!" Roshan cried.
"Oh God." Chaya rolled her eyes.
"I'd tell Sagar and Bhoomi to utilize this opportunity more," Master Suri said, turning to Sagar and Bhoomi. "After all, you two have zero at this point."
"Don't remind me." Sagar said, annoyed.
"We got work to do." Bhoomi sighed.
"Then let's go! We'll be heading to my land then!" Sanaya exclaimed.
And so, the Spectrum commenced their journey to Sector Din with Chaya taking everyone there with the use of her dark energy disc. As they hovered in the skies, they made their way down as they landed into the central city of Sector Din. They all looked around their surroundings, seeing nothing but a beautiful town in the lovely sunshine.
"So is this city always so sunny?" Krish asked.
"We do have a night time. But during the day, the land is always bright and sunny. There's never a sign of despair here." Sanaya replied.
"Right," Chaya rolled her eyes. "So where do we start looking?"
"Are you sensing anything, Sagar?" Bhoomi asked Sagar.
"I think I'm getting something nearby actually." Sagar answered.
"From where?" Roshan asked.
Sagar turned to his right. Once he turned around, a spear was coming towards him to attack. Sagar immediately dodged the spear as it then hit the ground, startling the others. "Whose been playing with cave weapons?!" Krish asked. The Spectrum turned to see three men in dark colored armor appearing before them.
"Are those the guys?" Bhoomi asked.
"Yes. I can sense the shards right on them." Sagar replied.
"Its them." one of the men said.
"And look...there's the girl the master is looking for." one of the other men said.
"What are they talking about?" Chaya asked.
At that moment, the men went ahead and attacked. Sagar and Bhoomi went ahead and launched energy beam attacks at both of the men coming towards them. But one of the men drew out another spear, aiming it to hit Bhoomi. No! I won't let that happen again! Sagar thought to himself. He rushed to Bhoomi, grabbing hold of her as they got out of the way of the spear as it then hit into a wall. Bhoomi looked up at Sagar, surprised as he still held her.
"Are you all right?" Sagar asked Bhoomi.
"I'm fine," Bhoomi replied, still surprised. "Thanks."
"All right, team! Let's give them what we got!" Krish exclaimed as the others warmed up their attacks. But the last man smirked as he then drew out a sword which he then plunged into the ground. The sword launched a strong vibration attack which created a loud sound wave that aimed at the others. They all screamed as the unbearable sound tortured their ears. And while they were distracted, the sound hurt Sanaya's ears so much, that she fainted, passing out to the ground. And at that moment, the other two men then grabbed hold of Sanaya, taking her away as they levitated off the ground.
"Why are they taking Sanaya?!" Roshan asked.
"I don't know! We have to do something!" Sagar shouted.
"How can we?! These sound waves are horrible!" Chaya said.
And at that moment, the last man then threw a smoke bomb to the ground that emitted a massive grey colored smoke. As the others coughed from the smoke's odor, the third man had disappeared as the smoke faded off.
"Okay...what just happened?!" Bhoomi asked.
"They ambushed us!" Krish exclaimed.
"And what's worse...they kidnapped Sanaya!" Roshan cried.
