What is Religious Tolerance?

In simple words,

its how people following a certain religion, accept or tolerate the other religion practices.. now "tolerate" as the word would go, is accepting something which you dont want to....

but as you are a social animal you have to understand other peoples religions, respect their practices and tolerate them . Your extent of understanding and reacting positively to other religions is your ability to religious tolerance..

Can we adore other religions inspite of loving our religion(if at all we beleive in the concept of religion)

I believe in my religion , you believe in yours. i will practice mine, you practice yours. neither i will interfere in your religion nor you interfere in mine..

we cant adore others religion, we can respect other peoples religion but love adore and follow only ours...

Is'nt this meaning politisized these days?

no comments .

Whom do you consider to be religious tolerant person?

People who do not fight on the name of religion are such people.

Do you beleive in this concept?

definately i do. i love my religion and others love theirs. so its fine. like i have my culture others have theirs, i have my life others have theirs....

we should be religiously tolerant..👍🏼...and should we prove it everytime that we respect each others religion. 😕

What's the beauty of religious tolerance?

we would mean secularism 👏

😃

What is Religious Tolerance?

Following in spirit and by action " To each their own" . The roads may be different but the destination is the same.

Can we adore other religions in spite of loving our religion(if at all we believe in the concept of religion)

Adore? No. But respect? Yes. If we truly love and adore our religion we would want our religion to be respected by others and that is possible only if there is mutual respect.

Isn't this meaning politisized these days?

Not just politicized....abused and used as a failsafe catch word by those who see some religions as mere vote banks and not as individuals with minds and feelings of their own.

Whom do you consider to be religious tolerant person?

Someone who follows their religion well at the same time doesn't try to shove their religion down others throats.

Do you believe in this concept?

We have to if we can even hope or dream of a better co-existence for our children than what we have had.

What's the beauty of religious tolerance?

At the risk of sounding like a beauty pageant bimbo ....World Peace!

I agree with what Minnieji said... her first line

The fact that religious tolerance is respecting the beliefs and customs of other religions while adhering to your own.

That's what I have believed ever since I have understood the concept of religion.

I'm a hindu by faith... but I love reading about Islam and talking to my friend about it... 3 of my closest friends are muslim... I loveee going to the gurudwara... love the halwaaa.. it's always there... and it just feels like i'm at home.... churches are sooo peaceful... I can sit with my eyes and closed for hours... and I mean I love learning about religions... I find it really fascinating...

The main point, which I follow, is that there is only ONE God... everyone just has different ways of reaching that God... i think people forget these days that religion is a way of reaching God... not a way to get all that you desire...

I will stay a hindu for life because now I have adapated to the rituals and customs and I love it... But just because I chose one religion doesn't mean that I don't respect other people...

A little bit of respect towards people, their beliefs, and traditions people our world can go very far!

Also, mythiliji thanks for the article... it feels nice to know that Pakistan also has respect for all faiths. 😃

And I just wanted to say, I have a friend who is sikh but she has a neckalce with signs representing many religions... and I feel that if every person respects and owns a necklace like that our world can go very far!
