So good to read your views after such a long time.

Towards the beginning of the serial, Rukaiyya's character was tolerable. She was Jalal's cousin, childhood friend, confidant and first wife. She was possessive of him and her insecurity shone through on the arrival of Jodha in Jalal's life.

Over a period of time, the production house changed her character to that of a regular Balaji telefilms vamp. She was initially pitted against another super vamp Mahamanga. At least the latter had strength of character whereas Rukaiyya's character never did nor still has the dignity befitting the chief consort of a mughal emperor. It is sad that the Creatives have made a joke out of her character.

I dread to think of how her presence will progress in the storyline, in the future. One thing is for sure. I DO NOT see her atrocities ever being exposed or her being punished by Jalal. It is too late for that anyway. All the major damage has been done. Instead of portraying her as a historical character, the creatives are using her as a vamp to spice up the proceedings. This is no way to project a favorite "in-house" artist. I find it hard to believe that she is the PH's favorite and hence gets ample screen time. Her negative presence has been the highlight since the inception of the show. It is not new. The only thing that the audience is looking forward to, is the exposure of all her vicious acts.

Cv should not forget that most of the household that watch this Serial are women, mothers and wives too (only few women can accept her character), and even if their children between the ages of 15 to 25s watch it too it has to be in the house to give them the trps and not the net. So if the mother of the house finds Rukaiya deeds annoying and doesn't want to watch the Serial and prefered another Serial at that moment CV team have lost big time and that is what is happening. Now that youth might watch the repeats in secret if mom is not in the house or might read WU on forums.

And most of the young youth too especially the women can't accept her character so don't watch at all intentionally so they don't get trps and might also watch the repeats so then it is up to CV team to get serious and bring her to book and give sometime for repentance and forgiveness and continue from there if they really want to get back to the top five again.

THIS SITUATION CAN BE REDEEMED ONLY WITH SOME SORT OF EXPOSURE OF RUKS, WHICH WOULD LEAD TO REDUCTING IN HER SCREEN PRESENCE

Well at least some form of rectification is being done by the writers but Rukaiya's part should not be brushed under the carpet as it is the core of the Serial downhill.
