I thought today was a good episode with substantial progress, ample time given to most characters and some light, YuvAni moments. Dramatic precursor to Holi!
Dadi tries to make Holi colourless and fails: Dadi orders Soumya to throw away the colours Lata and Pankaj have brought. 😡😡 Suhani argues that her parents have brought them with great love and there is no need to throw it away. 👏 Dadi says that she is allergic to the colours and harshly orders Somu to throw them away. Soumya awkwardly begins her walk of shame and Suhani looks on dejectedly. Finally, at the right moment, WimpRaj finds his voice and decides to oppose Dadi's recycle bin move. He says that they will not use the colours if she wishes, but requests her to allow them to keep the colours. Dadi agrees with a sour expression. Well done, Yuvraj. 👍🏼 Have to give credit to Menka for the dialogues of the day. 😆😆 Pratima suggests that Bhavna stay back with Suhani for Holi and Menka says that Soumya has permanently hijacked the Birla guest room. 🤣 Take a bow, Debashree! You have great comic timing. 😆 Soumya makes a constipated face while Dadi turns back and curtly says that Soumya is part of the family now. 😡 Yuvraj suggests that Bhavna stay in their room and he can stay with Sharad. Let's see how well you handle being away from your Suhani si ek ladki, Yuvraj. 😉
Bhavna is observing Suhani as she worriedly does another one of her domestic duties and Bhavna asks her if something is wrong. ❓ Suhani replies in the negative while Bhavna know something is up. To cheer her up, Bhavna tells her that she wants to tell Suhani something BIG. 😲 Suhani asks her not to beat around the bush and when she turns back, Bhavna tells her that Suhani is going to become an aunt! 😲😃🥳 Congrats Bhavna! Although, it's too soon. 😛 Suhani is beside herself with joy and is throws away all the clothes she's folding. Bhavna tells her that's a closely guarded secret and Suhani is not to share it with anyone. As Suhani is going crazy, Yuvraj comes in and says, "You messed up, didn't you?". 😲
Yuvraj and Suhani play some personal Holi: However, for once, Yuvraj's glare disappears and he jokes that he knew Suhani wouldn't be able to control her messy tendencies. He throws a cursory glance at the clothes which are strewn around. Suhani squares up to face him and tells him to not be so Sadu. 😆 Yuvraj tells Bhavna that Suhani is always doing this and Suhani asks him not to defame her in front of Bhavna. Yuvraj tells Bhavna that Suhani always threatens him. 😉 At that, Suhani has the cutest outraged expression and says that she has never done that. Yuvraj reminds her that she had threatened to get him beaten up by goons before marriage. 😲😆 Suhani bashfully agrees and asks him coyly how he remembers. This girl places so much importance on the slightest of gestures. She is such a romantic. 😳😭 Bhavna says that she will leave them to their 'flashbacks'. 😆😆 Yuvraj brandishes the colours her parents brought and asks her to keep them out of Dadi's sight. Suhani takes them and fortunately 😉 slips on some clothing and falls back onto Yuvraj who steadies her. 😃However, as Suhani is steadied, the colours start pouring out of their packets and a healthy stream of pink colour falls on YuvAni! 😳 So, ultimately, they were the first ones to play holi with each other. First blush of colour goes to YuvAni! ☺️ Suhani says sorry and that she didn't do it on purpose, while Yuvraj gives her a mock-angry expression. Yuvraj takes some colour and softly smears it over Suhani's cheek, saying the score is even now. 😉 Total Saawre moment, huh? A YuvAni moment after DAYS! 😆 This time, I didn't think it was superficial.
Soumya pours water on Suhani's Holika Dahan plans: Suhani is working in full flow to prepare for the night's Holika Dahan celebration and Bhavna is assisting her. Sharad comes and says that Suhani needs to come with him urgently. 😲 Suhani resists but Bhavna promises that she'll take over and just then Soumya comes out. Bhavna smartly says that Soumya knows Dadi's tastes the best, so she should help and Soumya agrees reluctantly with a dour expression on her face. Looks like you want Suhani's position, but not the work it entails, huh? 😉 You have to be their Princess Maid. Bhavna says to Somu that it is such a coincidence that Suhani and Somu were together before marriage and are together after marriage too. 😲 Soumya excuses herself in irritation. Bhavna tells Soumya to bring ghee for the firewood and Menka jumps in with another zinger where she says that Soumya has a PhD in 'adding fuel to the fire'. 🤣 Menka, YOU were on fire today! 👏👏
Soumya is vexed and she stomps off to the kitchen. How are you going to manage ALL of Suhani's maid duties, Somu?😆😆 She angrily grabs a bowl of water by mistake and Rags asks her what she's doing. Soumya tells her to not irritate her as Bhavna is already ordering her around like her sister, Suhani. 😲😆😡 Idiot girl, you're pushing away your supporters one by one. Rags shrugs it off. I wonder why it didn't anger Rags as much as I expected it too. Soumya is angrily splashing the water on the firewood and Menka tries to warn her. In her pigheadedness, Somu tells Menka that she will not take advice from the likes of Menka. 😡😡 Your arrogance will cost you, Soumya. However, Menka tells her that she has poured water instead of ghee and Somu curses herself. Menka instigates her to not correct her mistake since Suhani has to take the flack for it.
SuRad find evidence and Holika Dahan starts off watery: Sharad drags Suhani to Soumya's room and snoops around her room for evidence. Suhani, the ultimate honour code upholder, is trying to drag Sharad away while Sharad tells her to let him continue his operation. Suhani finally manages to drag him away, but just as she is going out, she sees something that makes her stop in her tracks. With an astounded expression, she walks forward and picks up a torn piece of clothing. Guess what it is? The piece Soumya tore from the sweater Suhani bought for Yuvraj. 😲 Suhani is shocked and wonders whether ALL the scheming has been going on since then. 😲 Yes, go for it Suhani. 2+2=4. 👍🏼😉 Suhani finally seems to believe that Soumya is out to destroy her marriage. Yuvraj asks her get ready for Holika Dahan, and if I must say so myself, looks yummy in yellow. 😉 As all the Birlas gather around the Holika Dahan pyre, they realise that the wood is wet and the pyre will not light. Soumya smirks evilly as for the first time, Suhani looks at her in suspicion and agitation. 😲
