Proteeti, as per my memory, both Vishnu Puran & Harivangsha are clear at one fact that Dau went to Mithila because he suspected that Krishna was guilty. Then Duri went to Dau for learning mace. He was clever enough to utilize the time when Dau was far from Kanha.
Anyway I don't want to see Dau in such a form 😭 so feel free to follow whatever you have in your mind 😊
