I really liked the basic concept of this show when they aired the first promo that wife and husband can separate but Parents cannot.
After that at the press conference I fell in love with RR statement "this show is about falling in love once again with your Ex" and my expectations doubled and unfortunately I forgot at that moment that this is a BT show and is handled by NB.I had the worst experience with NB becoz I previously watched another RR show KZK.
I'm not saying that this show the way its going is very bad but my point is that it could be 100 times much much better than the way its going on now. There was no need of :

1) Raginis fake marriage drama and Aman being in love with Ragini, why can't they show a pure friendship between a male and female.
2)Entry of Nivedita Basu and then Neil proposing her and this whole engagement drama fiasco. They could bring her directly who is here to take revenge as she feels Neira responsible for her sisters death.(I'm assuming that she is here for revenge only)
3)Love triangle of Aarav,Ranbir and Shilpa.

Need to :

1) Bonding between Neil with Nishi and Aarav and Ragini with Ranbir.
2)Neil standing up for himself and not allowing Pam to dictate his life.

I'm getting only these right now,you all can add your points and share your views.

The only saving grace is RR and PK and I'm sure many of you are still stuck with this because of them.

By the way NB is thinking that negativity reduced at her twitter ac n she is doing fab job.

i completely agree with your post...even i used to watch KZK 😆

the entire fake marriage charade is so immature and silly but you cannot expect anything else from BT and its creative...also in thier land nothing is pure...two people just cannot be friends without any underlying feelings and if my years of BT experience speaks then for sure ..Aman is on his way to become another psycho stalker and lover very soon 😆 ..BT does that to all the male friends of the female lead...

and yes the drunken proposal is another ridiculous twist and actually keeping up with that is even more ridiculous...it is not like he took an oath on the holy fire to marry her that he keeps on ranting about it...

the children and parents have absolutely no bond...they should have shown atleast some scene between ranbir and ragini..ragini pampering agham...nishi and aarav with their dad...the whole family together...everyone is so detached that you do not even sense the bond other than suhani and ragini ...

the show ka tagline should change that talaq maa baap ka ho saktha hai, pati patni ka nahi..coz neil and ragini are still behaving like a couple madly in love and not at all like parents...they have not spared a thought for their kids much unless it involves each other...

there should have been a scene with nachiket and agham and ranbir after the engagement announced...but then neil was never close to his kids to even fathom their reaction ..he is still too deep into ragini and only ragini ...and i love that but then i hate that the kids are shown as nothing but collateral damage ..the plot is so weak...it is simply accumulating scenes with no head or tail...if we see...we are still at the same place we were 3 months back...nothing much has changed..

and shilpa ,aarav ,ranbir is not even worth commenting on..i will not be surprised if aarav choses to go with his father back to US leaving his mom all alone just to impress shilpa with his wealth 😕

Agree with both of you. Could have been handled so differently, even with the fake marriage part, Neil didn't have to be shown holding on to that drunken proposal. Doing the puja today with Nivedita was the last straw.

Aman saw Aarav's angst and spoke to him about it but Neil is clueless about all his kids. Neil wasn't shown chastising Ranbir after that 'go ask your mother for forgiveness' bit, no asking Ranbir why he did what he did, nothing. No bonding with Aarav except for that one scene where he gave him spending money. No bonding with Suhani except when he walked into her room after Nishi had talked to him.

While it is okay to be so besotted with your ex and lost to the world, Neil should not be shown then as moving forward with Nivedita. He is shown as a strong man but then Pam dictating his life, his engagement to Nivi, his lack of perception where his kids are concerned sit at odds with the strong man personality.

Neil was shown as abrupt and obnoxiously rude to Ragini in the beginning but midstream, he has been made to be aware of her and only her to the exclusion of all else which again doesn't go with his keeping mum about his engagement or his even accepting that idea of marriage with Nivi.

Pam is another story, if she was shown hating Ragini but fond of her brother's kids, it would have been more acceptable. Her using Nishi to fish out information, her going along with Ranbir's plan to hurt Aarav to get back at Ragini puts Pam in a very undesirable light altogether.

Okay, even if Neil is engaged to Nivedita, he really didn't need to do the Puja with her. And that because Pam requested. N just needs to STOP Pam now, for ever.
Next what will P request and N abide? That Nive do the kanyadaan. He can only go on shouting at R, but with P, he is like a mome ka gudiya ...

Pam is the main thorn and she has destroyed the entire family. Why? - only Flashbacks will tell us. But the way she is going about insulting R should have got N thinking about what's wrong in the entire picture.

Yes, since this was a chance of a destination wedding, they should have shown some more bonding between the kids and parents. Ranbir is the most difficult one - I think his stupid track will come up soon. And that will not have anything to do with Shilpa.

neil is automated around pam...he simply does her bidding like a robot without any expression ...share the cupboard with nivedita..and he is seen making space for nivedita in his cupboard...stand with her ,he stands with her, smile at her ,he smiles at her, marry her he is going to marry her...i somehow can understand ragini's frustration if this is how he was 15 years back as well...Pam messed their lives and nachiket did not even bother to fight back...forget finding a solution...he chose to walk out and seal some deal ...and spend the entire 15 years blaming ragini for the mess not even acknowledging his own role ...

and then this whole nivedita issue who is roopali's sister

add this to the irony of the lot pam and neil tell suhani that ragini is their mother, if that is not laughable i don't know what is. we can all bet our right arm that suhani is not ragini and neil's daughter, so who is she. ofcourse with the litter of hints ragini might have done something causing death of suhani mother so in steps neil obligated to take care of the child out of guilt. now here is the irony what ragini did was so awful that neil accepts divorce but he tells suhani that ragini is her mother when ragini was supposedly responsible for her real mother death. now how does that make sense do they do this to protect the child and make her blend with other kids, or to punish ragini see the ultimate joke is on you haha, or they don't want to people to think that neil had an affair so just pass on the child as his wife when she isn't.

I do agree with all of you here... Concept is really good but execution is really gone wrong.
The bonding between parted siblings and parents was the key but even after 60 episodes there are no significant progress in the story. In true sense, there is no interaction between Neil-Nishi-Aarav and Ragini-Agham-Ranbeer.

What we are seeing for past 3 months is only Ragini-Neil trying to win over each other, unable to get away with their deep love but still desperate attempt to keep away from each other without success. They are so much involved in each other that they are not even noticing what their kids are going through, what their kids are doing and what their kids wants.

So much episodes are literally wasted on NR love-hate thing n ugly vamps plotting against R. Sometimes I feel that its not a mature , lovestory but teenage love obsession. NR trying to find their love, ugly vamp trying to keep R away from N hook or crook and Nivedita trying to snatch N from R. In all this ...where is mature love story?

The tag line of the show is not at suiting the current story.

i think it was a safe escape assuming they never thought of ever coming back to india or meeting ragini..hence to avoid complications let suhani assume ragini was her mother like she was for ranbir and agham...

but yes i fail to understand a lot of things...if ragini had misunderstood neil as the father why on earth did neil not fight back ,prove her wrong for the sake of the family...why did he let the family wither away over a misunderstanding ..was his ego so big???and if ragini was so horrible why on earth is he still pining for her even after 15 years...and even if he promised the mother of suhani assuming she is roopali..why would ragini not take care of the child if neil has not betrayed her..she would have showered love on the child as her own...so what exactly happened that led to the separation and a family being destroyed

and yes if ragini was responsible for someone dying ...how did walking out on her and his children solve anything ???

and i am pretty sure that the makers are going to come up with some lame excuse for the divorce and we will have to gulp it down as confused as ever😆

You bet Sun.

We are going to get some super lame excuse for the Divorce.

Agree with all of you here.

I am sure everybody was at fault, but my question is why didn't M fight back against separated them? Love has never been a problem.

Nice post!

I will be honest; this is my first show of Ronit and I fell in love with his acting instantly. He is damn good and acts with so much maturity and dignity. The second best thing is Pallavi. She is doing a wonderful job too and their chemistry is ek dum right! The makers got themselves a brownie point there!

Lekin lekin lekin...even the biggest shows with the best star casts can have big loopholes and kinda illogical details in their stories. And believe it or not, but IKNMP is not very different...

The concept is indeed good and new. It is different and has a mature story line. Kaash CVs bhi iss story ko maturely handle karte...
I completely agree with your points of Ragini's fake marriage with Dr. Aman and their friendship and also the last one about the youngster's love triangle.

Indeed no need to show the one sided love story of Dr. Aman, yes a good solid friendship would have been good enough. A true support system is also something a man can give to a woman and vice versa. But at the end of the day, this is a Hindi tv show aur uppar se an Ekta show, iss liye we will have to cope it.

Is it really necessary to show a love triangle among those three? Maybe in the future, but definitely not now! There are so many other issues that need to be solved. So many other things that they need to focus on instead of showing how Pam supports her so called beta Ranbir in snatching away Shilpa from Aarav. Yes, I do understand that in all these years Pam has had some influence on the kids and Ranbir is the 'lucky' one who has adapted that ill mind, but there are so many other ways to show that Ranbir is not fond of his mother.

The most important and biggest one: Neil's character. Thank you for pointing this out. It is somehow my biggest 'concern' regarding this show. Ragini's character is quite clear, Pam's character is even more than clear, Dr. Aman the confused one, RK/Karan/Dimpy and the rest also very clear, but the million dollar question is: Who is Neil? What is his character?
I started to ask myself these questions since last after watching the sangeet episode. I have mentioned this before in some other posts as well and I keep saying it; in my eyes, Neil needs to stand up and change his attitude towards his lovely sister Pam. He has raised his kids with other principles than Ragini has, fine. He loves them all, cool. He respects is mother-in-law and can do anything for Nani, very good. He stands up for Ragini, supports her and helps here where needed, again way to go! But where is Neil, the no-nonsense man, whenever Pam starts with her bakwas? Where was he when someone else decided to change his life for him?
In short, I just want to see a strong male lead who truly matches the character inside out. Neil has definitely the potential the be the first no-nonsense male lead character on TV (there must have been a few, but I have never seen one till now). Initially, they all start with this great persona thing but eventually they all become like puppets in the hands of the antagonist, which is sad...

Also, to make the concept and story line more crispy the CVs really need to pay more attention to the little things in the story. In their eyes it might not be much of a big deal, but as a viewer we see a lot, we accept a lot (for the sake of drama) but that does not mean we buy anything they show us. It is the little things that make the most sense because those will only add to the bigger picture...

Thank you! And please do not see this comment as a rant.
I do like the show and the lead cast is amazing. In fact, all of them are doing a great job and really so far so good. Lets just hope the CVs don't ruin it later...
