Dia Mirzas Twitter outburst

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat's remark on Mother Teresa, where he said that she attended to the poor to convert them to Christianity, has created quite a debate. BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi came to his support and claimed that Mother Teresa in an interview had said that her job was to bring people to the fold of Christianity.

This did not go down well with Dia Mirza who took to microblogging website Twitter to criticise Lekhi for her statement.

Dia tweeted, "Shame on you #MeenakshiLekhi you contort personal faith/work to validate a statement that should be condemned. #MotherTeresa."

She later tweeted, "Actually you know what? I am ashamed. Of our thoughts, our actions and our words. #MotherTeresa."

Dia faced a backlash for her tweets, and she later tweeted, "The trolls are out and hard at work :)"
