Yup power and politics. Read Sanjay Khan's wife too beat Zeenat at that occasion. Okay she was enraged at the other woman but her hubby was equally guilty! Why physically assault only the woman?

Wives keep mum and blindly support husband whereas they will do anything to harm other woman. Both parties are guilty in an affair!

Some like Dimple Kapadia left abusive husband but never filed any complaint. Maybe greed for property? Hypocritical to leave, stay separate but then come back in last moments and fight over property!

Unfortunately women can be misogynists as well, as ironic as that may seem. I suppose that's how society came up with the phrase "home wrecker." It takes two to tango but somehow the husband's wrong doing is glossed over and the other woman is blamed for everything. If you ask me the other woman is only responsible for her own conscious and morals. She's not the one who stood in front of God and family and friends and promised loyalty and fidelity to the wife. The husband did. So from the context of a family breaking up it's all on the husband.

In case of Sunjay Khan's wife money and power might have been an influence as well. Had Sunjay's marriage with Zeenat Aman worked they could have become the power couple of Bollywood. They were pretty famous in their day.

I have also read that the late Mona Kapoor and her Mom run into a Sridevi somewhere and attacked her while she was pregnant with her first child Jhanvi.

Not just the industry, I think women in general are afraid to speak up when such an incident happens. Atleast in India it's a fact. Main reason has to be the way they are brought up.

I had a humiliating experience in a private bus when I was in school. A guy tried to touch me inappropriately in a crowded bus. I was 16 that time. i got so scared and i felt ashamed that I had to go through it. I went home and cried. I knew the guy. Now I regret that I should have done something. I should have slapped him or atleast complained to my parents. Many of my friends did experience such things when we were in school. In crowded buses, trains, class rooms etc. Many like me kept quiet. A couple of them raised their voices and I saw people especially guys laughing at them. Now I am matured ,my approach to life has changed and I am sure if such a thing happens I will not keep quiet. And I will do my best to see that my daughter doesn't go through it too. The schools in lndia lack so many things- proper toilets where the girls have the faciltiy to change their sanitary pads, self defense classes, professionally qualified student counsellors. It's sad.

Who wants to take panga with the big Sharks?

Even ordinary women rarely speak (though some change is coming) or take a stand. Even though the laws are there to protect, the societal pressure, long tedious legal process makes it very difficult. One lady I came across at my workplace, she is going through divorce procedure but the dates postponement, delays & other stuff is making her lose hope. She is fighting for maintainance from her hubby for her kids & herself but the man is not ready to give her a decent amount. He bribes or doesn't appear on fixed dates... while the woman goes to the court accompanied by her old father... the court premises has many men loitering around ogling & passing comments on her. Almost 2-3 yrs have already passed. The husband is waiting for the day the woman crumbles and is ready to take whatever he is ready to offer.

And the celeb wives bear abuse and philandering obviously for the perks their status brings.

U have rights to remain silent, anything u will say may and will be used in court of law.
Seriously, only those women know whats the reason. Some might think abuse is better than being of no use, some might think money makes it all worthwhile, and some who r just trapped and manipulated. That's a show biz. How many intelligent, beautiful, young girls wud love to marry Salman? 😉

U know, if we ever try to give examples of BW stars for any morale issues .. be it feminism, FoS, Gender equality, domestic, hypocrisy, sex/violence, religions or u name it...

We r gonna end up looking like fools. Coz they r all in showbiz, elephant only have 2 sets of tooth, but these celebs have thousands of tongues.

I remember a playboy mention girl saying " Men think they r using us, hahaha... we just show our body and we make millions, so what sometimes we get battered."

Women need to support other women in need rather than being naive or even rival. First, unite all and there r good men all around to take the cause further.

But dont expect it from BW.. last place. Support NGOs working on it. BW is full of hypoctrits and opportunists. Too many skeletons hiding in their cupboards.

Salman is a liar, what else..do you think he will come out and say that he has abused Aish? and she's not the only one he abused...the other gfs didnt have the guts to come out and say something...even when he slapped Katrina at a coffeeshop in front of dozens of people, she still denied the incident...
