I hope Arjun learns his lesson this time...

to give respect and take respect..

to be a sensible person.. rather than being a arrogant git..

most importantly, he should learn to accept facts.. accept his past.. not run away from them...

its high time he changes...

sahil no doubt is fab as arjun.. i like him. dis post is jus about his character.. :)

Not about the actor but will this character of Arjun ever evolve. All the characters have evolved as far as their behavior or emotions are concerned, Arjun seemed to have stuck there.
I want to know if he was meant to be that way or the director forgot about him totally. One moment we see his moist eyes which speaks aloud about his loneliness and dark past and a moment later he is back throwing tantrums to all, even to the team leader. He deeply wanted Abhayankar to lead him to the Everest. Now he had to say,'Tum sab meri wajah se yaha ho' when the fact is that he is here because of the Sarpech. IF the Sarpech was not involved Roongta would not have paid a penny for this project.

I think Gowariker wanted to show two contrast character through Arjun and Akash respectively. One let his colleague die in the mountains and ditched his long time girl friend while another tried hard to save his friend and when failed lived in guilt forever. Yet they connected somewhere. I MO had he showed the mingling of these two characters it would have more impact. Like Akash learnt to give back those who hurt him, seema mausi in his case and Arjun could have learnt to be polite to his team mates at least.

Overall, Arjun is a confusing character. I hope he changes this time.

@dey Arjun is the contrast in Everest. He contradicts himself. He wants the love and care. yet he doesn't want to be attached. He wants help, yet want to be free spirited. He wants people to obey hi, he wants to be the centre of attention and well who is colonel to tell he cant scale the peak on his own. He has to prove who he is.
I mean his identity which is that of orphan is his biggest problem. He is struggling with that identity. Once he accepts who he is it will be easier for him to evolve. He doest want to accept his past, his identity and tries to be someone which he is not. Of course it will be contradiction only.
