Is it wrong to say below average looking mediocre actress Deepika's luck will run out after 3 years?

Alia (just 2 years in the industry) took the tag from her in 2014 itself
Alia will continue to give neck to neck competition to her with some of the best projects in her kitty

Irrelevant question.
Look, nobody can stay on top forever, especially not the actresses with their shorter shelf lives.
Alia's already becoming a hot favorite and it's only a matter of time before Alia comes in some of the biggest hits of the year and then the audience will have a new younger favorite.

What's important is for Deepika to remain in the top SLOT. Or to remain a relevant actress still getting work.

Look at Kareena. She's been here since 2001. Is she number 1? Not anymore. Deepika and Kat ousted her out, but she's still one of the biggest and most happening actresses today. She's still signing the biggest projects and has demand.

What determines legacy is the ability to be RELEVANT after years of your rise. Anyone can rise on top. It's dictated by luck and talent and everything just coming together. That's not hard. What's hard is staying up there for years to come.

Kareena and Katrina have survived the test of time. I'm sure Deepika can do the same

Everyone has their time. No one will stay at the top forever. That's just a fact and that's just the way it works in the industry. She has come a long way in my opinion - from a sucky actress to a much better improved actress. She'll still be around, but only time will tell if she'll remain at the top or not. Everyone has their share of ups and downs.

I think she'll still be on top in 3 years. She just won't be the only one at the top at that point.

Priyanka and Kareena are the ones who are older than her and Kareena is fizzling out. Priyanka's being smart and trying other ventures along with acting.

Katrina can't act much.

Hence Deepika is getting more meatier projects. But there's a whole lot of others coming up too: Anushka, Sonakshi, Shraddha, Parineeti, Alia, Sonam (yeah even her), and others still in the game.

Deepika, more than anything is just the first of the younger lot who made her mark. Others will soon follow.
