He again looked at Geet, who was still in the arms of Rahul, but it was clearly seen in her eyes, how comfortable she was feeling, he remembered, the time they had confessed their love to each other for the first time, it was their college fresher's party, where Geet was knowingly dancing with some random guy to make him jealous, which worker perfectly, and he left the party in anger, thinking she is enjoying the dance seeing her smile, but he didn't understand that, that her smile was bcoz of his anger, which made her happy, after she left, she followed him, and found him standing in the garden near the fountain, the area was isolated, with only dim light and soft music coming from the hall of the party, she went near him and stand by his side
What happened Maan????, she asked innocently, but Maan didn't answered her and ignored her, kya hua, bata toh sahi,she again asked, but the response was same, which on started to anger Geet too, bcoz from the time they r friends they have always shared each and everything with each other and when she has fallen in love with him, she wanted to know about his feeling too, but that was a bit difficult for her, as Maan never gave her any type of signs to confirm her that he too love her but she was lucky enough when she got the hold of his diary, and read his thoughts and feeling, and after reading that she has decided that she will make him confess his love for her, Go to hell, ek toh main tere liye yahan aayi hoon, aur tu hai ki bhaav kha raha hai, isse acchi toh main ander thi, kam se kam, Vishal was giving me attention, but tu toh mujhe ignore hi kar raha hai, she said in anger and turned back when in a jerk Maan pulled her to him and her lips were in his, she was shocked for a moment, but soon started to respond, the kiss which was harsh and was depicting anger had turned into a slow and passionate one from the time Geet
started to respond, he slowly broke the kiss, and look at Geet's face which was flushed and her eyes was closed with her lips still open wanting to feel his
Agar agli baar uska naam liya toh dekh lena, this brought Geet to sense and she looked at him with a fake anger but from inside she was grinning

Geet looked at Maan, who was doing the work told by her mother, feeling a gaze on him Maan turned to look at Geet whose eyes were filled with the layer of tear he so much wanted to wipe them but he couldn't bcoz he knew somewhere he is the reason behind her tears, he tore his gaze from her and looked other side, while Geet went to past which was filled with their happy moments
Geet was waiting for Maan, but like always he was late, and this was making Geet angry, it was her birthday and here Maan was taking more time than the birthday girl, few minutes later Maan came running towards her and Geet turned her face other side, showing how much angry she is on him
Maan : Sorry sorry sorry, he said standing beside her, but Geet didn't gave any heed to his words, yaar Geet itna kyu gussa ho rahi hai, main sorry bol raha hoon na, he said turning her to face him and held her from her waist
Geet : Tum humesha aisa karte ho, mujhe jaldi bola kar, khud gayab ho jaate ho, and above it aaj mera birthday hai aur tumne mujhe subah se ek gift bhi nahi, gift toh chodo kiss tak nahi kiya, the kiss has become a part of their life form the time they confessed their love, they won't leave each other, sometime Maan would even take risk to kiss her in front of her parent but just a small peck, so that no one could see them, and till now they were succeed in it, they wanted to Geet's parents about each other after Maan is well settled in his life, so it won't have any problem for her parents to think twice on those line, like how can he give their daughter a perfect loife or anything like that
Maan : Ab main kya karoon, jab princess har time kuch hatake chahti hai, toh uski wish toh fulfill karni hi padegi and about kiss, abhi tu mera saath chal baad main tere upar kiss ki baarish kar dunga, he said nuzzling in her neck, while Geet wrapped her hand around him and before Geet can drown in his love Maan broke apart and made a sit in the car and zoomed off

IN present Maan too started to think about the same thing when he had promised her that whatever may happen he would never leave her and his life is for her only, he remember how shocked and happy Geet was when she saw her gift
Maan was driving on a deserted road for a long time and finally the place came, he stopped the car and blindfolded Geet, while Geet was confused with his act but didn't said anything and kept quiet, Maan again started the driving and stopped the car after coming to the place which he desired for, he stepped out of the car and helped Geet out
Geet : Maan, kya main ab yeh khol doon??????, she asked reaching behind for the knot to open it but Maan stopped her
Maan : Nahi, abhi nahi, main khol dunga, but abhi ke liye toh apni sandal khol, he commanded her
Geet : Sandals, kyu??????? she was confused with his demand
Maan : Jitna bola hai utna kar na, he waited for her to remove her sandals and helped her to walk, Geet felt something soft under her feet but she was not able to recognize it, so just kept following Maan's word, after sometime Maan stopped her and opened her blindfold, it took some minutes to Geet to adjust with the light and then she saw a small but beautiful house in front of her, which was covered by the surrounding of trees and she can hear the sound of waterfall near by, she was surprised with the beautiful place in front of her
Geet : Maan yeh??? she was shocked and surprised to see it, though she was rich but she always dreamed of small and simple things, she never fancied costly thing and she wanted a small family type house of her own in between of nature
Maan : Tera gift, he said coming and hugging her from behind keeping his chin on her shoulder, kaisa laga?????? Geet was shocked with his words, she remembered once she told him about a family house but it was when they were about 15 or 16 and she would have never talked about it after that, but what surprised her more was Maan kept weaving her dream and fulfilled it without her knowing it
Geet : Bohot accha, she turned and hugged him, but yeh sab karne ki zarurat...Maan kept his finger on her lips
Maan : Shooo, kuch mat bolna, it was my dream to fulfill all ur dream then how can I not fulfill this dream of urs, ab chal yeh emotional batein chod aur ander chal, Maan held her hand and asked her to keep her legs on clay tray which he had arrange so he had print of her first entry in this house but Geet insisted that they both should do it, bcoz it was their dream which he had fulfilled
After Maan gave her the round of her own house, they settled on the swing in the garden, the house was made but interior wasn't bcoz Maan wanted Geet to do it, bcoz once again it was one of her dream to decorate her house by her own, from coloring to lightning, from frames to show piece, from mirror to bed , she wanted to do that on her own
Geet : Maan, tumne yeh sab kab aur kaise ???????? she wanted to know bcoz Maan was saving money to open his own company, he had done his MBA and architecture degree on his own, she knows he never asked her, sorry their parents for any money bcoz he wanted to stand on his own feet, he did his whole education on his scholarship, he did many type of jobs and saves money and by looking at the house she can say it must have easily taken his half of the saving or may be more than that
Maan : That doesn't matter, till the time ur face has this smile which is worth of anything, he said pulling her closer to him and Geet willingly goes in his arm, Geet didn't asked him again, she understood Maan won't reveal it to her, so she let the matter go, Geet was playing with Maan's fingers it was a peaceful silence between them when Geet broke it with her demand
Geet : Maan, I want one more thing as my birthday gift, Geet said suddenly making Maan look at her in confusion
Maan : Ab aur kya chahiye ?????? he asked her knowing she won't stop until she get it and he won't stop until he gets it for her
Geet : Nothing much, just a promise, she said leaning her back on him while he held her more tightly by her waist and hummed in response, Promise me whatever may happen u won't leave my side ever, she said turning her face towards him and Maan look in her eyes
Maan : What type of promise is this Geet, u know I can't live without u
Geet : I know but still promise me, please, she said pulling her palm out and waiting for him to make promise, Maan sighed and rested his hand in her hand

It was one of the most irritating day for Geet, her parents were bugging her for marriage making her irritate and she can't even say what was in her heart bcoz she promised to Maan that they will only make an official announcement about them being in relation when he will make a name of his own in the world but she can't say this to her mom and dad too
Geet was laying on her bed burying her face in the pillow while downstairs her life's decision was being taken
Rano had called Maan bcoz she knew now only he is the one who can make her daughter agree, Maan entered the house and went to Rano who was sitting on sofa with her hand on her head, Maan came and sat on the floor
Maan : Kya hua Maa, aap itne pareshaan kyu ho?????? he asked seeing her worried, Rano looked at him and felt happy that now he will help her
Rano : Aacha hua toh aa gaya, she said and made him sit beside her, ab tu hi hai joh meri madat kar sakta hai, she said looking up at him with hope in her eyes, looking at that Maan couldn't even deny her even he wanted to too
Maan : Hua kya hai, Maa bataye toh sahi????? he again asked her the matter
Rano : Pehle tu mujhe wada kar tu meri madat karega
Maan : Yeh kaisi baat kar rahi hai aap Maa, main humesha apki madat karunga but bataye toh sahi problem kya hai
Rano : Nahi, pehle tu mujhe wada kar, she was adamant on him promising her
Maan : I promise Maa, aap joh kahegi main usme aapki madat karunga, he said taking her hand between his and pressing it in assuring manner
Rano : Maan, Geet ke liye rishta aaya hai, she said with smile but failed to notice Maan's expression which turned into shock to heartbroken and his hold on her and got loose, Rahul naam hai uska, Mohinder ke business friend ka beta hai, aur accha bhi hai, main kab se Geet ko manane ki koshish kar rahi hoon, but woh hai ki sun hi nahi rahi hai, ab tu hi hai joh usse mana sakta, Manayega na usse, not getting response she turned towards him and shook him, bolna manayega na, she asked with hope, to which Maan just nodded, words fail to come out from his mouth, toh ja uske room, muh phoola kar baithi hai, he just stood as a robot and made his way towards Geet room, each step was heavy for him and he knew the moment he would say those words to her, he would not only break her heart but her soul too.
He entered inside her room and saw her on bed laying on her stomach and face buried inside the pillow
As if sensing him near Geet turned nd look towards him and as soon as she looked she jumped on him hugging him tight to herself, burying her face in his neck, while Maan made fist of his palm trying to control himself from hugging her back and after sometime he forcefully made her separate from him, Geet looked at him confused bcoz of his reaction but didn't gave much thought to it
Geet : Maan, we have to do something now, mumma meri shaadi ki baat kisi Rahul se karwa rahi hai, I think we should say everything to her, we will wait for the wedding but hume unhe batana hoga humare bare me she said stepping close to him, but Maan pulled her back from him and made a distance between them
Maan : Karlo shaadi Rahul se, he said in cold voice, looking everywhere but not in Geet's eyes thinking it will break the last ounce of control which he is having on his heart from breaking in front of her
Geet : What????, she gasped bcoz she thought everything but not this, that Maan, her Maan, her love will say her to get married to someone else, but she also know he won't be doing this on his own, she took a deep breath and tried to compose herself, Who???????, she asked with tear in her eyes, Maan knew she not mistrusting him but want to know the person but his decision, Maan looked towards her and saw her teary eyes, he raised his hand to wipe them but before he would he stopped himself and pulled his hand back making a fist of it, but Geet saw his action
Maan : No one, he said nd tried to make his way out of the room, but Geet came in front of him, stopping him
Geet : Don't u dare to lie to me Maan, she said grabbing his collar and pulled him, I want to know the person behind ur decision and ur reason to separate me from u, she said in a broken but angry voice
Maan : Bcoz I promised, he just said those 3 words but Geet's attention took last word PROMISE, she remembered the promise Maan made to her on her birthday
Geet : Promise, she said in low voice, she looked directly towards his eyes, then what about that promise which u made to me on my birthday, that u won't leave my side ever, u will be always with, What about them, she jerked him wanting him to answer her, but he was not looking at her, Geet looked at him with, tears and pain in her eyes, she loosed her hold on him and stepped back, wiped tears from her eyes and again looked towards him, It was all my mistake to love u, a mistake which made me happy to commit it, but I foorgot every mistake have its own punishment, and I got my one, the mistake I was happy to live with, u made me feel sorry for it, the mistake which was my life, is now the same mistake which is taking me away from my ownself, Thank u for making me realizing that it was a mistake and I have to bear its pain, with her every word Maan heart was slitting, with her every pain his heart was squeezing with her pain, with her every tear, his heart was shattering in to pieces, she wiped a lone tear and turned her face, out, she said in a cold voice which send a shiver through Maan, I SAID OUT, she shouted, making Maan fear for her, he stepped closed wanting to comfort her but she moved back, and this action of hers made Maan die thousand of deaths in that one particular second, without any word he moved from there, embracing all those sweet memory which he spend with her, which will be now his lifeline for rest of his life
