hi evry1,

im new to tis forum.. hru all.. i have a req here.

wat d mess vijay tv is doing with its so called 'hot star' app?.?? im a regular viewer f office serial, i use to watch it n youtube...wont even miss single epi. bt fr d past 10 days unable to catch it n youtube.. n also tat hotapp cant be downloaded in ma tab. i lost ma patience.. office dev team please do sometjing to sort out tis issue... already vijay tv has started losing its subscribes n viewers atleast do favor fr d peoples lyk us... im jus following office serial by reading updates... tis s totally a injustice to me 😭 😊 let me hope fr a solution soon to make things better... thankz all...

Welcome Suchi to the Office forum, hope you have a great time with us. Yes there are many complaints about Hot Star since it is not compatible for everyone. Until they solve this major problem, I guess maybe watch the episodes online somewhere else if you cannot see it on TV.

Even I had the same problem.

Earlier I used to watch old episodes online but now they r deleting .

I downloaded hot star in my iPad and watching.

Quality is ok.

Thought of posting this reply to ease your pain...so, no worries, i've had the same issue but managed to resolve it by changing the regional setting of my appstore to India.

Here's how you can do the same if you are an Apple user:

A few points to note regarding the new HotStar app:

1) As many would've known, one of its major drawback with this app is that it is it for local (India) use only at the moment. It has not been globalized as yet, hence programmes like movies cannot be watched via this app. The rest are good to go.

2) You must remember to change back your regional settings back to your home country, else your other apps will not get their most wanted updates on regular basis. You have a choice to alternately switch your regional settings every now and then to ensure all apps are updated promptly.

3) The resolution on the HotStar app has been designed only to meet iPhone models' requirements, not for iPad. Hence, the resolution may look a little off when you do so on your iPad, but the TV progs are still watchable on both devices.

4) Like the TV, the app also has irritating ads (esp. for the upcoming WorldCup) and you cannot skip it like Youtube.

Hope the above tips are useful to you & others too. I've been using it for the past 1 week and its working just fine for me.

I can understand your frustration however we Dev team will not be able to help you on that issue. Anything related to our Office forum or IF kindly do buzz us, we will try to assist you.

Silent thaan but i do come here everyday and read all the updates n stories but chumma comments pannurethu ellai, esp with the serial dying. Mood eh pochi...
