At the end of the day its fiction. I agree history should not be tampered with, but do we really have enough material to describe what happened in that era? 90% of it is imagination n same was showed in movies. When a show like Mahabharatha thats been told for centuries together was spoilt in the SP series I am lil suprised over Asoka. I agree Bindusara wasn a weak king but compared to ChandraGupta Maurya or Asoka there is little about him. The show is about Asoka n the focus will remain on him. And if ur talking about other countries, please do watch Reign which is a fictional series on Queen Mary of Scotland. Its such a joke. Some amount of fiction will be thrown in since we dont have the precise account of what happened 2000 years ago.

I accept that there will be holes to fill in if it is concerning history, especially of a character that was not written about that much.
However, those holes can be filled in logically using as much historical evidence as possible or overcome it somehow.
I want to watch this because I believe that since Ashoka is such a major part of Indian history, only they could show his history with integrity.
I'm a bit disappointed that they haven't. even though I knew I would not be getting full history but half and half, I still had my mind open so that they could even surprise me.
