Sorry dear bbut it is not correct
most probably MD and chairman are one and the same
Chairman is the person wwho is appointed to head the board of directors meeting
Most probably he may be the senior director of the company
Whereas MD is appointed by the BOD to look after the management activities of the company
He is not in the second position .
Both chairman and managing director head different sections I.e chairman heads the boards and MD is the topper most eexecutive in the company
CEO need not want to hold shares in the company but MD has to possess the shares if the articles of the company to do so
though cv's were right but the points you stated were wrong
