#3 Electricity.
She lay on the bed, too dazed and irritated to stand the people around her.
They gave her worried looks and it made her feel like a child.
They wouldn't stop talking.
Poor Vidushi
'Very Punny!' she frowned, clutching her head.
Is she ok?
'Do I look Ok?' she gritted her teeth, wanting them all to leave.
They were hovering around her like a horde of annoying, buzzing flies.
"You can..leave" she made herself sound civil. Thankfully she was too sapped of strength to yell at them like she would have liked too.
They soon made themselves scarce, leaving behind a heap of 'Take care Vidushi' and 'Be careful'
Sahil stayed behind.
"You look so pale and tired." he observed.
She fought the urge to roll her eyes.
'Ofcourse I look like a zombie. Try putting your foot in a puddle of electrified water and lets see how you look then!' she scoffed.
"Vidushi!"
She didn't need to use her eyes to identify the speaker.
She knew that voice by heart.
"I was waiting for you. I'll go now" Sahil shot her a last pitiful, worried look and left, mummbling something about 'people and their mini-matters'
"P..Parth.." her voice was hoarse and she coughed.
He looked her over, pain and concern in his eyes. One of his hands held hers, holding it gently. Like she was a china doll that could break anytime.
"Are you okay" the concern in his eyes was rivalled only by the desperation in his voice.
"I'm..Al..alright" she whispered "You put yourself in such...situations all the time. I wanted to try being a Khatronke Khiladi too"
He shook his head. Even in her current state she had not lost her sarcasm.
"Don't do it again Vidushi." he tucked a lock of hair behind her ear.
"I won't. It was too shocking to attempt again" she laughed and then broke into a cough.
"I'm not that stupid Vidushi. Who did this to you. I swear..." his fingers turned into fists.
"Don't worry. Sanyukta is already taking care of that. You...just take care of me." she smiled.
"Hmm...how can I take care of my princess?" Parth had that naughty glint in his eyes. The glint that made her feel warmth pool in her belly.
"I don't know...Shock me!" her voice dropped into the husky tone he loved.
"Careful love." he brushed his fingers over her right foot, making her shiver a little.
"Parth.." she bit her lip.
"Shh.." the hand slid up, over her jean covered legs and her side, rubbing gentle circles over her right arm.
"That's teasing!" she complained.
His hand moved to her shoulder and then lightly snaked up her neck to cup her right cheek.
"Let me kiss the pain away" his lips trailed over hers, brushing them lightly.
A soft gentle current passed through her as he kept rubbing his lips over hers, never kissing her fully, the softness of his skin sans the stubble torturing her.
"Kiss me already will you" her tired hands wrapped around his neck, pulling him against her as hard as she could.
His lips met hers and she could feel her own throat vibrate with a victorious growl.
Her hands cupped the back of his head as she took the lead, kissing him like he was air and she was a drowning woman, breathing him in.
Taking him like a dying fire took in paper and other inflammable objects
He pulled away, breathing hard and fast.
She took in deep calming breaths too.
"It's funny" she mussed, watching his fingers play with her raven hair.
"What's funny?" he looked up .
" I had electricity passing through my body didn't I" she asked.
"Obviously " he smirked.
"So why are you the one that is lighting up like a lightbulb" she made a mocking gesture of blushing.
He looked at her in disbelief.
"You didn't imply that I am blushing Vidushi!" he growled.
"Look, your cheeks are all red. So either you stole my make up and decided to experiment with it or you are blushing." the grin on her face made him want to wipe it off her.
"Sweetheart, that electric shock was nothing. Let me give you something that will make you put Diwali lights to shame." the look on his face told her she was in trouble.
His lips met hers, kissing her with wild abandon.
She felt heat creep up her cheeks and her neck.
If some one looked at them, kissing like they were kissing each other for the last time, they would certainly receive a shock.
Maybe the CCTV cameras were recording everything. Maybe they weren't.
She did not give a damn.
The way he made her feel, alive and vibrant made the current that had passed through her body a mere hours ago look like a burst of static electricity.
Moments with Parth, those wonderful, electrifying moments were the ones she lived for.
