You look like a die-hard Aamir fan so it's okay I understand. I gave my reasons for PK working like that. I have met a lot of people who dislike or call PK average but that was not with 3I. by the time I asked people hey you like 3I? people had already watched it twice. If a movie like 3I released today it would have made 450 in my opinion or 400 at least. Let's not stretch this now ok? 😊P.S : I still feel Avatar WW gross won't be broken this year.

PRDP stands a little chance against PK or d3

Breaking record of PK is genuinely tough
1. The film has to have a good storyline
2. It has to be extraordinarily promoted
3. It has to generate enough curiosity to hold people's interest for 2-3 weeks
3. Makers need to think of a business strategy which can yield strong revenue for some time
I don't see a love story or family movie or detective or a off beat movie to do it. So Prem Ratan Dhan Payo,Jagga Jasoos, Tamasha, Dangal, Main Gabbar, Singh Is Bling is out.
Mohenjo-Daro. Bajirao Mastani, BV - are high budget films so its difficult for them to be a beat PK record.
Fan, Raju Hirani's next with Ranbir - seems to have very good content and will do very good business but not of the type of movie to break PK record.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan , Legend (Rohit Shetty's next with SRK), Sultaan (YRF's next with Salman), Shuddhi , Aditya Chopra's next with SRK, Robot 2 (Shankar's next with Aamir)- have real potential. Out of them my bets are Aditya Chopra's next with SRK, Robot 2 (Shankar's next with Aamir) if they are really going to be made.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Legend can only do insane business if they come out something like Dabang or CE

I'm not disagreeing with promoting a movie at all. It is very much needed and necessary. I just want to mention that to me it's amazing that PK did what it did while very much under promoted. Aamir only made a handful of appearances, and Anushka and Hiani a bit more than Aamir. Is Aditya's next also written by Aditya? In that case I don't even expect it to make 150 cr. I'm sorry but I think the man is stuck in the 90s with his story ideas and concepts. Somehow I don't see any YRF breaking any kind of record. Something about their stories and executions lately seems off, in my opinion. If rumors about the storyline of Bairangi Bhaijaan are true I don't know if audiences will accept Salman in a role that is so removed from his masala persona, his Prem roles not withstanding. It's really hard to predict which movie will break PK's record. I feel like it will be Aamir's Nexr sci-fi one possibly. I think Dangal will be another Talaash. Really good movie and making really good money but nothing exteordinary. But Rohit Shetty and SRK might surprise everyone especially if they come with a blockbuster soundtrack and a good release date. Then again, Indian audiences' tastes seem to change more rapidly these days so who knows.

By promoting I don't mean the stars have to appear everywhere. A product needs to be marketed well to garner interest. For example D3 was marketed cleverly. It was poor as a movie and many people even hated the promo. But still it went on to be one of highest grossers ever. PK had the content so it was didn't needed any hype. It was basically WOM which created the revenue. 3I was promoted in a very unique way. HNY was a crap movie but SRK marketed it well and whatever money it made it was just because of that promotion.
