Interview: Roy director Vikramjit says, Ranbir Kapoor is a selfish actor and asks who is Katrina Kaif
In an interview with Daily Bhaskar, the director said, "I will give you the truth, he is promoting the film, and he will start his promotions from tomorow,( February 4) in Delhi".
(Vikram says Ranbir has a role of 55 minutes in the film)
"The way my film is Ranbir has his own track Rampal has his own track, it's a 2 hour 10 minutes movie, you think it will be Ranbir's cameo. I have three leads in the film.
Ranbir is playing Roy, I actually approached him for the other part (Arjun Rampal's role) as well, but Ranbir chose Roy, I said will you do Roy, because Arjun will have 10 to 15 minutes more than you, he said I will do it. I was happy, and this is Ranbir's best work in the film. I have tried to make him look like a man in the film, earlier he has played boy character, but I wanted him to play a man, I didn't want his boyish charm, I asked him not to smile in the entire movie. Ranbir is there for 55 minutes in the film, this is what you call an extended cameo?".

"Ranbir Kapoor, doesn't do films for actors or for friends, he is severe professional and a damn selfish actor, probably the most selfish actor in life, which is great because that is why he is so good, it is good to be selfish, because an artist should be selfish, as you owe something to yourself and you owe to your audience. He has a process when he does a film, He is a damn prepared actor, my crew was impressed with his sheer professionalism, when we had a half hour break, he use to sit in a corner an play his candy crush.
He is very calm and smart guy, and as a director you don't know what you want from him he is going to kill you,(laughs).He will ask you important questions, he makes his director look better."
(Vikram asks who is Katrina Kaif?)
When asked Vikram did Kat make any appearance on the sets of Roy, to which the director immediately said, "Who is Katrina Kaif", and avoided to talk.
