You are often in the bottom four. Do you wonder if the audience really likes you? Honestly speaking, ear- lier I didn't take the competition so serious- ly But ever since I got in . through that wild card, I'm all geared up and want to get better. What do you think are your chances of winning? If you ask me, 100 per cent! 'Parleen or Abhi.. one of them had to go' Your last week's performance was not much appreciated. Why do you think that happened? I selected the wrong song. But the judges told me that though the performance was not up the mark, I am a good singer. Do you think Aamir Khan's songs have been lucky for you? It's sheer co-incidence that I have sung his songs one after the other. It was not a conscious decision. Parleen and Abhishek were voted out last week. Do you think they deserved it? We've got to understand that this is a competition and there can be only one Indian Idol. One or the other has to go out. Are you prepared for the fact that you might be voted out? Well, it's difficult. But I am prepared to face the worst. What does your family feel about this? My parents are very happy . But my grandmother was disappointed with my last week's performance. Do you think you stand a chance in Bollywood? I expect a lot, especially since Anu Malik said that I am his Indian Idol. But right now, I'd better focus on my singing. 'Anuji's comments disturbed me' What are your chances of staying in the show? It's quite unpredictable. I may or may not be in the top three. Did Anu Malik's comments affect your singing? Yes, it did. For the simple reason that there was noth- ing between Chang and me. It was wrongly projected What about voting? Amit Paul The judges have been pushing for Amit and Deepali, while Ankita has been called the ultimate per- former. I guess Amit is popu- lar because he was evicted in the piano round and came back on a wildcard entry. Since then, he's been performing consis- tently well. Ankita is popular because she tries some- thing new every time. Deepali on the other hand, is a very very talented singer.
