I am a bit late to make this post. But the Aakash-Anjali scene on Saturday that less than a minute hug reminded me of the song - Katrin Mozhi from the Tamil Movie Mozhi.
Though I had felt Aakash-Anjali scenes very much connected to that song that hug was something that made me write this post
The lines of the song somewhat goes like this
When wind blows there is no direction and when love speaks there is no language. Just like you cant put a shape to the wind, language of love cannot be confined to what words can define.
It was exactly that in Saturday scene. Anjali had seen Aakash dangling between life and death. It was a precarious situation for all the mountaineers and when she got him safe she forgot all the boundaries she had kept from him. The way she pretended sleep, the way she told about her engagement to him so that he doesn't express his feelings everything everything she forgot in that moment and expressed herself with that hug in that moment. I would say beautiful and well done.
It is not done. Aakash says he doesn't know what she feels about him to Chand and Arjun. But it is not the truth. He knows but he is giving her space as she told him about her engagement and he didn't want to wreck havoc in her life. And what Chand told is true. He knows the eyes of girls filled with love and Anjali looks Aakash with those look.
It is also in sync with the lines of the song " When truth is silent tears become the words
When feminity is silent blush becomes the language"
Isnt that true. Doesn't disappointment rings in Anjali's words when she talks about Vidhaan and she should be marrying him and that slight blush when she is questioned on Aakash " kuch Nahin hai" speaks volumes.
Now she has expressed herself in silent way what she feels about him and it is for Aakash to take those feelings forward by expressing himself .
Remmeber the question Raj asks Simran in DDLJ. What if you found a guy in this trip and fell for him. Will you go back and marry the person your father choose for you or will you marry the person whom you fell in love with.
Anjali needs that question to ponder over. Interesting fact is it was been 20 years since DDLJ released but the question Simran faced then even now many girls in our country are still facing. What about her choice when it comes to marriage.
