I am a bit late to make this post. But the Aakash-Anjali scene on Saturday that less than a minute hug reminded me of the song - Katrin Mozhi from the Tamil Movie Mozhi.
Though I had felt Aakash-Anjali scenes very much connected to that song that hug was something that made me write this post
The lines of the song somewhat goes like this
When wind blows there is no direction and when love speaks there is no language. Just like you cant put a shape to the wind, language of love cannot be confined to what words can define.
It was exactly that in Saturday scene. Anjali had seen Aakash dangling between life and death. It was a precarious situation for all the mountaineers and when she got him safe she forgot all the boundaries she had kept from him. The way she pretended sleep, the way she told about her engagement to him so that he doesn't express his feelings everything everything she forgot in that moment and expressed herself with that hug in that moment. I would say beautiful and well done.
It is not done. Aakash says he doesn't know what she feels about him to Chand and Arjun. But it is not the truth. He knows but he is giving her space as she told him about her engagement and he didn't want to wreck havoc in her life. And what Chand told is true. He knows the eyes of girls filled with love and Anjali looks Aakash with those look.
It is also in sync with the lines of the song " When truth is silent tears become the words
When feminity is silent blush becomes the language"
Isnt that true. Doesn't disappointment rings in Anjali's words when she talks about Vidhaan and she should be marrying him and that slight blush when she is questioned on Aakash " kuch Nahin hai" speaks volumes.
Now she has expressed herself in silent way what she feels about him and it is for Aakash to take those feelings forward by expressing himself .
Remmeber the question Raj asks Simran in DDLJ. What if you found a guy in this trip and fell for him. Will you go back and marry the person your father choose for you or will you marry the person whom you fell in love with.
Anjali needs that question to ponder over. Interesting fact is it was been 20 years since DDLJ released but the question Simran faced then even now many girls in our country are still facing. What about her choice when it comes to marriage.

This reminds me of the lyrics : Pyar koi bol nahin, Pyar awaaz nahin,
Ek Khamoshi hai sunti hai kahaa karti hai...

Anjali could not hold herself back after that life and death situation she saw Akash in, she threw caution to the icy winds and went ahead and hugged him! 😊
It was as natural as their friendship blossomed into love.

The DDLJ quote is a good one, wonder if Anjali will follow her own heart or try to be a good daughter...

But Vidhaan has already rejected the proposal and Jagat got the biggest shock of his life.
Now hearing abt Anjali joining the rescue mission shd have some major effect on him, if hes a human being. Maybe he will change his attitude towards his daughter...just maybe...

Maybe he will say, Jaa Anjali, Jee le apni zindagi...😆

Hug was composed subtle and adorable.. It's a silent passage of words, mutual connection between them...it was not rather forced but it's a slow realisation process which makes it so smooth and gentle!! Beautifully written Shruthiravi!!

@pallavi that will be a scene to watch. Wonder if there is something like Aakash also will have to prove in front of Jagat that he will be a good son in law 😆😆😆
Usually bahu has to prove naa in TV shows, for a change let jamai prove himself 😆😆. But I like one thing. Vidhaan is not shown as a guy to be detested but a normal guy who simply not able to relate to Anjali or Anjali to him. Infact I do like Vidhaan a lot
I am a big fan of DDLJ. Have watched it n number of times but can still watch it editing Amrish Puri's part 😆😆😆😆😆. Cant miss even a single similarity if taken from that movie 😆😆

Aww... What a cute post shruthi!! Thank you..😊 I love discussing Akanjali!!
The hug was beautiful because of its promptness... The way she ran to him and hugged him for her dear life like a child .. And then tried to make up for her act..saying ' good to see you' was cute and showed how relieved ahe was to see him safe and sound... No melodrama etc...just raw feelings for each other..

Regarding anjali's decision..i think she is denying herself love , for the sake of her father who has given a word to his frnd. She is condtioned since childhood to obey her dad..no matter what. Akash is just allowing her that.right now , they have both left their relationship . someone of them has to step in and make it work for themselves. Like Maithili said that day, she needs to retrospect her equation with AAkash..and now aakash needs to pursue her to do so..

These 2 give me such a warm and fuzzy feeling when together.

I loved that little glance Anjali gave when Aakash came out and moved to the side to catch breath. She wanted to run to him right there and then. Aakash rejected the idea of a certain someone missing him but I think he must've got an answer with that hug.

It was so natural and spontaneous. The fact that Aakash has given her space is kind of allowing to realise things herself. I loved how she just ran to him without holding herself back. You could tell how much she's missed him too.

Simply love watching their subtle love.

Yes bright star. Not only Anjali many young girls are conditioned from childhood to believe that their fate is not in their hands. They have to live to uphold the family's honour no matter what they like it or don't like it. Saddest part is there are mother's themselves who teach comprising to daughter's from early childhood, telling if you behave like this what will your sasural tell blah blah...
So they decide that they have to live for someone else , not for themselves. Hence that question matters. What does Anjali want. Vidhaan or Aakash.
I hope they show Anjali reaching the decision herself before she knows Vidhaan has actually rejected the proposal. Only then it will be inspirational in the right sense.

Hey, I like Vidhaan too! Hes such a straightforward, honest guy!
Really Loved the lecture he gave to Jagat. Wish someone had lectured him abt parental role a long time ago. Maithili is certainly a lucky girl! 😊
Vidhaan likes Anjali but not in the way that a man likes a woman, hes not attracted to her, he doesnt find anything in common with her.
I liked Amrish Puri too in the movie, especially the pigeon feeding scenes of him and SRK...it was so peaceful in those green fields.
Perhaps Akash will have to feed pigeons too...😆
