Thanks so much for the replies.Due to time Zone difference, could not reply back. If they have to end Shiv's character,
1. Because of the non availability of the actor/the actor felt bored/actor is not willing to play the father of 3 kids, they should have gone for replacement. They had replaced Anandi, Ganga twice and so why not Shiv. Anyway Sid's fans (one who see BV only for Sid, no offense here, hope it is taken in the right spirit) would not see BV after Shiv's death. They could have replaced him.
2. If they say, the actor needs a break, the could have either transferred him on a secret mission or some important tasks to Delhi(anything can happen in BV land) and could have brought him back while they can show that they are conversing over phone/SMS...
3. The thing that I could not even buy is that, Shiv was never a original character in the show. This was P's mother's life and in that there is no Shiv. Please, ...If they wanted to sshow Shiv as a cameo, why the magical entry. I could not even recollect, how many times I would have seen the entry scene, especially, the scene where he opens the door and step his head out and removes his glasses. If they wanted him as a cameo, I could recollect all the channels saying "Another man in Anandi's life". In the 1000th episode, when somebody was questioning Anup Soni about Dadisa, he told them that she had gone to search a suitable groom for Anandi and he said, "Maasa do not worry. We have one here".So, they had decided that hw would be the man in Anandi's life.
If they had not, they could have shown him as just a friend of Anandi, who supported her, cared for her, make her realise what a gem is she, the support system whom she could share her internal fears, but as a friend. His job should have been to elevate her and then they could have shown him transfered(leaving us viewers in the hope that atleast one day or the other they would propose or not/will their friendship be ever lasting). Why did they bring him as her husband?
Also, there will be always an inspiration for a person to write a story - mother, father, circumstances, people he sees in life, situations...but it need not be the same, where they could narrate the whole real story. There are lot of films based on the epics, life history of people, but do they depict their whole life or do they end exactly the same way as is the real life, unless and until it is an bography? If Shiv is not there in real life, if they had introduced Shiv, they could have changed the story to suit accordingly. Why to show Anandi as a widow now?
4. Logically Shiv's character has come to an end...Hows that possible? They could have transferred Shiv to some metro areas like Mumbai, Gave Anandi a little makeover. They could have show how they are managing with their kids. Could have shown corruption, trafficking, terrorism, all the other problems that urban women face in their lives, connect Anandi on the women problems and Shiv fighting over problems, officially.
