Any one pls suggest me fictions by indian writers. I dont prefer tragedy. How about Some one like you by Nikita sigh Or Moving on by Jaya jha.. ??.

I havent read the books and authors you mentioned but definitely try some Khaleed Hosseini's books. like the kite runner or a thousand splendid suns.

Number two would be God Of Small Things by Arundhati Roy

Try any of Jhumpa Lehri's books.

Indian writers who write in English :-
1) Amitav Ghosh (Historical fiction)
2) Vikram Chandra
3) Amish Tripathi (Shiva Trilogy fame)
4) Vikas Swarup (Q&A aka Slumdog millionaire fame)
5) Anand Neelakantan (Asura and Ajaya - Quality mythological fiction)

Do u need recommendations for authors writing in a) regional languages/Hindi or b) Indian regional fiction translated in English ?

U can try Khaled hosseini or Amish Tripathi

For light reading the good ones are Chetan Bhagat, Yashodhara Lal and Preeti shenoy

do try Aswin Sanghi's book- specially Chankya's Chant if u r interested in politics and history.

I Dare!" by Dr. Kiran Bedi is the only book I read that was authored by an Indian. You can read that...very inspiring :)
I gotta read some books written by our Indians asap!

Do try reading 'Till the last breath' by Durjoy Datta. Its an amazing story.
Its about four damaged souls with the most beautiful journey of love, life & friendship.
It seriously reminds us of what it means to be alive😊
