Today I was watching Talaash ,.I know it is been more than 2 years the movie has released .But i thought i need to make this topic .This one is such a good movie .Acting, screenplay ,cinematography ,direction everything. Most people say it has a silly paranormal twist .But this film creates the eerie feeling from starting .It creates such a haunting atmosphere ..I think it is one of the better thrillers from bollywood .Very underrated ..

Aamir and Rani both had strong powerful impactful roles.

Rani was highly underrated for her performance.

I rate Talaash as one of Aamir's best performances...the movie didn't do well because the subject didn't sit well with the audience...its one of my all time favorite movies...

Atleast Lootera got a lot of critical appreciation...Talaash didn't even get a lot of that🤔...I think one of the reasons people were shocked was because it was promoted in the thriller genre and turned out to be a supernatural genre...if promoted in the right genre...that shock factor would have not been there...and maybe the movie would have done better...a lot of people felt cheated in the end.

It did get a lot of critical appreciation I think just like Lootera. I think with Talaash audience didn't appreciate it much. And with Lootera..do people outside of this forum like it? Not trying to put down the film..just curious.

But it's one of my fav movies of Kareena, Amir, and Rani from recent times. The film had soul and it was so real..from The story to the way it was directed. Yes minus the paranormal stuff.

And the performances were brilliant esp that of Amir, Kareena, and Rani. Loved them all.

My only complaint about the film was you could guess Kareena was a ghost..there was just way too many hints in the film. I just wish it wasn't so obvious. Am curious to know if others guessed Kareena was a ghost too? I knew she was a ghost because of spoilers online. I wonder if I didn't read those spoilers..if I would have figured it out that Kareena was a ghost.

PS I loved the songs. And the director I feel is very original and creative with her story.

^I didn't realise she was a ghost until I watched it :) I love the film as well! I really enjoyed all three together. Aamir, Rani and Kareena were superb! Muskaanein Jhooti Hai is my favourite track.

Urgh that makes me mad. I hate spoilers.

I know I love these trio. I hope they do another film together. My fav songs from the film are: Jee La Zaraa and Jiya Laage Na. So beautiful. Even the songs in this film are underrated I feel. Even Hona Hai Kiya is so much fun.
