All of Me

What would I do without your smart mouth?
Drawing me in, and you kicking me out
You've got my head spinning, no kidding, I can't pin you down

It is a fact universally acknowledged that an Aurora Sister five months into her pregnancy was, to put it mildly, slightly insane.
And while such pregnancy induced lack of sanity isn't particularly of the straight jacket and padded walls category, it is without a doubt still prominently manifested. A fact attested to by none other than, Abhisheikh Prem Mehra, himself. Abhi, as he was better known, was currently leaned back in his favorite plush sofa, in front of the 72 inch television now broadcasting the World Cup 2015 finals.
However the reality was, that despite the fact that he was lounging in his favorite sports sofa, with the blaring cheers from the live broadcast in the background, Abhisheikh Mehra was no longer watching the Cricket World Cup.
He was watching his world instead.

What's going on in that beautiful mind
I'm on your magical mystery ride
And I'm so dizzy, don't know what hit me, but I'll be alright

And Abhi Mehra's world, as it stood this day, was encompassed entirely of one, particular, overly energetic, slightly rounded, bespectacled, beautiful genius.
The selfsame genius who, seemed to have decided, for reasons untold, that it was imperative for their Junior Rockstar's future in music, that she stand before him, clad scrumptiously in his faded Led Zeppelin t-shirt, and brutally strum unfortunately off-tune notes on his Signature Gibson Les Paul.
Any other man, in his place, would most probably have been annoyed at the interruption of the year's most crucial Cricket final.
Any other man would most probably have cringed at the decidedly indelicate handling of an instrument that cost more than an average house.
But then again, any other man would not have been him.

My head's under water
But I'm breathing fine
You're crazy and I'm out of my mind

Somehow, his perfect notes, and rapturous guitar solos seemed to pale in the face of his wife's, adorable if off key rendition of one of his earlier hits.
And the truth of the matter was, Abhi the Rockstar, would much rather sit back, and wave his lighter around, as he watched his beautiful, if slightly insane wife, turn round and round in frantic circles as she attempted to imitate, a particularly famous stage gimmick he had perfected years ago - than do almost anything else.

'Cause all of me
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I'll give my all to you
You're my end and my beginning
Even when I lose I'm winning
'Cause I give you all of me
And you give me all of you,

Four years ago, Abhi the Rockstar had not been the same person he was today.
Instead he had been a shell of a man who took pride in being harsh, calculating and callous.
And then he had met her, and his world changed.
Smiling graciously, his regal bespectacled Rockstar, slid his prized guitar off her shoulders, and leaned it against her newest bookshelf, before turning sweetly back to him, and easing herself carefully into his waiting arms.
"So the concert's over?" He asked indulgently, his hands gently guiding her until she was nested securely against his chest, her long endless legs hooked on either side of him as she straddled him without a whit of the self-consciousness she'd once been so tied down with.
Pragya smiled softly in return. "Are you asking to come backstage?" she murmured in a husky whisper, that rang with memories of many such other nights, when he had come off stage, only to pull her out from where she was silently cheering him on, unceremoniously into his dressing room, locking the door behind them with a decisive click.

How many times do I have to tell you
Even when you're crying you're beautiful too
The world is beating you down, I'm around through every mood

Lord, she was gorgeous.
Reaching up, he cradled, his wife's face tenderly in his hands, as he gently pulled her down for an achingly tender kiss.
His hands now splayed, across the soft curve of her hips as he anchored her firmly in place, Abhi chuckled softly, at her soft gasp as his hands slid up under her oversized t-shirt only to slowly feel her arch under his touch, as his fingers began to move rhythmically across her skin, as if he were playing invisible chords.

You're my downfall, you're my muse
My worst distraction, my rhythm and blues
I can't stop singing, it's ringing, in my head for you

Leaning back in her husband's arms as, he continued to strum softly against the curve of her waist, Pragya Mehra, smiled.
Little did she know, that it was that very smile, rather than her swift kiss, that made her husband tighten his grip around her until he swung her into his arms and carried her to their bed pressing her into the mound of pillows she insisted on piling on it, as he covered her mouth with his own in a rough-tender kiss that she returned with an ardor that stole his breath, only to have her breathe softly into the cavern of his mouth, as if she knew exactly what he'd been thinking.
His lips twisting in amusement as he smoothed his hands down the generous curve of her body, Abhi, allowed himself this one moment, to soak all the things he had to be grateful for, and the beauty of how both things were here, in his arms.

"Thank you." Whispered his artless, unpredictable angel, her fingertips trailing gently across the short stubble running across his cheek.
"For what?" teased Abhi, a rich, deep chuckle escaping him as his hands now crossed over to distinctly treacherous waters, under his wife's worn Led Zeppelin t-shirt, his thumb flicking achingly at the glorious evidence of her arousal.
Surprisingly, instead of leaning into his touch as she was wont to do, she answered solemnly, "For loving me," the nearly imperceptible emphasis on her last word, sending a shaft of unexpected tenderness through Abhi as he recognized the silent wonder in her voice as if she was truly grateful for whatever chance or providence had allowed for what she still seemed to see as such an impossible improbability,

Give me all of you
Cards on the table, we're both showing hearts
Risking it all, though it's hard

Four years ago, Abhishiekh Prem Mehra would have arrogantly chalked anything he'd earned, or obtained up as nothing short of what he had deserved.
He'd done so for years as a Rockstar, and a Public Icon.
He didn't do so today.
In absolute honesty it wasn't because of some great epiphany that had turned him into an ideal God fearing citizen.
The truth simply was, that Abhisheikh Mehra, the husband, and the soon-to-be father, simply had too much to lose.
It was with this thought in mind, that Abhi gently, tucked a loose curl back behind his wife's ear, and pulled her in for the most achingly tender kiss, before he whispered reverently against her lips, "Thank you."
Her eyes shining with mirth, Pragya bit back as smile as she parroted her husband's own words back at him, "For what?"
Carefully cupping her visage in his palms, Abhi answered in a voice gruff with the weight of an emotion that was nearly unbearable in its perfection, "For you."

Hello! This here is a songfic based off of Brantley Gilbert's 'My Kind of Crazy' and John Legend's ' All of Me', which basically just came together to form this pregnancy trope. Hopefully you'll enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it and if you like what you've just read - please do leave a review!
Also, on a side note, I think it's about time I added an Index in my siggy, unfortunately I am much too technologically challenged to know how to - so if anyone would be kind enough to talk me through it - I'd be very grateful.
P.S. - In case it wasn't obvious, the first line is a nod to Jane Austen's, Pride and Prejudice. #OfficialDisclaimer
Edit:: An extremely kindhearted soul (take a bow -mina-) has very kindly provided me with the siggy instructions so just ignore that bit in the AN. <3
