DEI, because Parineeti had the more author-backed role & he didn't want a repeat of Ishaqzaade..i.e she walks away with all the praise.

In Arjun's case I think his father overestimated his popularity post 2 States and Gunday, and also made a bad movie lol. Also when they signed Sonakshi she had a number of 100 cr films in her kitty. If he doesn't make a comeback within the next two years I see him starting to direct or produce. He will have a career in Bollywood one way or another.

Parineeti again if she doesn't make a comeback in the next year or two I see her becoming a character actor. But it is too soon to write her off too.

Yeh fortunes have changed for sonakshi in the past 1 year...but she is a good actor, jus needs to do some good films ughhh!. ...Arjun was good in 2 states but that movie would have been a hit with ANY boy or girl in it that can act half decent...as the book/material was such a hit that the movie was bound to do well if it did justice to the book.

anushka is a good example for these ppl...no movie for almost 2 year n came back with PK...it doesnt matter how long arjun, pari etc take if they come back with something good

I think Chocolover means that Arjun felt that the movie would end up benefiting Parineeti and not him by much. It sort of happened to him in 2 States. I think Alia and Abhishek Varman walked away with most of the hoopla post 2 States. Regardless, DEI turned out to be a bullet he dodged.

And 2 States basically became an Alia Bhatt Abhishek Varman movie. He doesn't seem to have a powerful screen presence and gets overshadowed easily.
