Baldev followed Ranvi and Veera as they entered the hospital, he
tried his best not to get noticed, he saw them go the lady doctor's
opd, Baldev didn't understand, he waited until Veera and Ranvi left.
As soon as he saw them move out of the hospital he ran to meet
the doctor. The doctor was very busy with patients, Baldev had seen
a nurse accompany Veera towards a room, so he asked her.
Baldev; sister ji, wo jo abhi ek kudi aayi thi na, jo abhi abhi gai he,
apne veer k sath jo thi, ki hoya he use?
Nurse; kuch nhi hua, wo pregnant he, bas routine checkup ke liye
aayi thi
The world collapsed for Baldev, he stood there as a statue, a feeling
of emptiness over powered, he lost balance and the sister helped
him sit on the bench.
Nurse; sir? sir aap theek to hen?
the nurse was not audible to him, the floor was spinning infront of
him, his mind stopped working, only the words of the nurse echoed
in his ears, "wo pregnant he" Baldev started hyperventilating, he
was almost breathless, the shock was too much for him to grasp.
The nurse shook him
Nurse; sir, sir, sir kya hogya aapko, sir?? ye lijiye pani pi lijiye, sir
The nurse's constant shaking brought him back to reality, he drank
some water and wiped of the sweat.
Nurse; sir aap theek to hen? kya hogya aapko?
Baldev; kuch nahi (he said trying to breathe) wo..wo
The doctor had finished her opd and came out of the room, Baldev
managed some energy and bloacked her way.
Baldev; doctor sahiba, meri ek baat sun lijiye
Nurse; doctor plx help him, inki tabiyat bhi achanaq khrab hogai
Doctor; okay kahiye kya hua he aapko
Baldev; aap se akele me kuch zaruri gal krni he
Doctor; okay aayiye
The doctor accompanied him back to her room.
Doctor; kahiye kya baat he
Baldev; doctor wo, wo veera, wo meri bohot qareebi..(what was
she?his friend?his enemy?or the love of his life..he searched for the
right relation)..wo meri behen ki nanad he..me yahan aya tha kuch
aam se use yahan dekh ke pareshan hogya wo..wo theek to he na
(he felt the burden of a lage stone on his chest)
Doctor; jee jee wo bilkul theek he, bas routine check up k liye aayi
thi, unka bhai he na unka bht khayal rakhta he, time pe sab
medicine khila deta he, aur hamesha time pe check up k liye lata he
Baldev; doctor wo hamesha apne bhai ke saath aati he? wo kya he
na me zara kuch mahine se bahar tha to menu achanaq sb pta chala
Doctor; haan hamesha bhai ke saath, unke husband out of town he
na, aur aap chinta mat kijiye wese bhi second pregnancy he unki ab
wo khud bhi bohot aware hen
Baldev; acha..changa, me chalta hun
Baldev walked in shock, Veera was married, she already had one kid
and another on the way, how could she hide it from him, why? If
only he knew before he would have controlled his feelings, why
didn't she stop his advances, why did she hurt him so badly.
He some how managed to drive back home and went straight to his
room, and then he lost control, "Veeeraaa" he
yelled, tears escaped his eyes, he broke the vasesin his room, pulled
his bedsheet to the floor, threw stuff here and there and grabbed
his hair.

He sat silently and mourned, he recalled his happy moments with
her, tears kept developing in his eyes, then suddenly he recalled the
doctor's words, veera was pregnant for the second time.then where
was her first kid? And why isn't she living with her husband.
Baldev; kahin...kahin meri veera taqleef me to nhi, shayad isiliye
usne kuch na btaya ho, kahin wo kamina use chod k to nhi chala
gya, kahin usne uska pehla bacha bhi to nhi cheen liya, agar esa to
maar dalunga saale ko, meri veera ko taqleef pohnchai usne, nhi
chadunga, menu veera se milna hoga, aur sab saaf saaf poochna
hoga us se.
