It's so easy to judge a book by it's cover without reading the story. And it's so easy to judge people for who they are without knowing what they've been through.

When Roshan said to Shikha Maa about people like Anjali having it all easy, I almost started giggling at the irony. Of course she thinks Anjali's life is perfect because Akaash loves her. That's been her dream for so many years. But when our dream comes true for someone else, that does not mean that that was their dream too.

Sure, Anjali loves Akaash as well. He lights up her life in a way that was never before. But he wasn't her dream. Her dream was Everest, her dream was winning her father's heart. And that seems to ebb away with the opportunity to summit Everest looking bleak due to weather conditions.

I did find Anjali's plea to accompany the rescue mission a little foolish considering her lack of experience. She might have been a star student at NIM but she would be more a liability than an asset. But I understand her frustration. And more than anything else, she is frustrated with her own expectation that Everest would come easily to her. Miles away in Mumbai, there is a woman who feels Anjali has everything easy and here at base-camp, Anjali is disheartened and disappointed that the one thing she had wanted out of the entire experience is not happening.

I am not underestimating Akaash's importance or how much she appreciates having him in her life. But he is ultimately the icing. The cake is still summiting Everest and despite her feelings towards Akaash, she never lost that focus.

Everest is Anjali's dream and passion. She has lived with the coldness of her father her entire life and that would hurt anyone. This was her only chance as Anjali Rawat to make her way in her fathers heart, make him feel proud (whether he deserves it or not is a different matter). Aakash is the stability factor in this journey, he keeps her calm and doesn't let her confidence go down. I think she would be very lost if he wasn't on this expedition.

I have a picture in my mind, Anjali looking towards Everest with Aakash in the background. He's always there to hold her whilst she marches towards her dream and that's what makes their relationship beautiful. It's the most perfect sub-plot I've seen in a long time.

Btw the dialogues from Shikha Maa especially 'Sabki apni ek kahaani hoti hai...door se jinki kismat achi dikhti hai, paas jaake dekho wahan bhi kuch khaami hai' define Anjali to the T. It's such a human sentiment. There's always cracks in the picture perfect image.

Shikha Ma's words are so true and so wise!
The grass always seems greener on the other side.
Lives of others always seems perfect when seen from a distance.
Its only when you have walked a mile in their shoes that u can understand that their life isnt perfect either.
Anjali has been deprived of something most basic in any person's life, her father's love and recognition and shes going to risk her life to get what she has been denied from birth. Roshan doesnt know what Anjali does not have, she only sees what Anjali does have and that is Akash's love.

You say it right. Akaash reiterates her confidence in herself. Unlike him, she has confidence (even overconfidence if we see today's episode) and unlike him, she also has people who believe in her (her mothter, Maithili, even Vidhaan and his family) but there is a difference between moral support and physical support. Anjali herself has admitted that she would be very lonely without Akaash. And isn't that correct? Sure she gets along fine with everyone else too but he is the one who truly gets her.

Shikha Maa's dialogue in general define the insatiable human nature. Everyone wants more and everyone wants what the other has. But no one realises that beneath a perfect exterior might be the most hollow interior.

Isn't that a very human problem? We all want what others have without realising that we might have so much more than they do. Shikha Maa is right when she says that everyone has some obstacles they have to overcome, even those with a seemingly perfect life. What is 'perfect' anyway? Who decides that?
